An odd little note can be found at the Bendir Dale message board; the top half consist of beautifully scribed Draconic runes, while the bottom half appears to have been penned by what must have been a severely intoxicated chicken attempting to write a translation in Common. Those able to read Draconic are suddenly relieved that they can.

Quote:
[Draconic]

This one has come across several curious items during long travels, and will part with them for a fair price or trade to anyone interested. Available are the following:

  • Five (5) pristine Bone Wands
  • Six (6) blank, untarnished scrolls
  • Two (2) Minor Mythal Crystals & Three (3) Lesser Mythal Crystals

There is willingness to consider trade for trinkets of use to an adventuring Cleric's safety, and gold is of course readily accepted as well. Thank you for your interest, and safe travels.

Tilting your head for some reason aids in deciphering the translation:

Quote:
[Common]

I am with wise things that appeared to long journey, and your interest is now departing because of fair trade. Readyness is following you:

  • Three-and-two bony sticks
  • Three-and-three papers free of words
  • Two tiniest Mythal rocks & Three tiny Mythal rocks (a helpful sketch is added next to this entry, and anyone familiar with Mythal Crystals would recognize their form and respective sizes)

Giving adventure help to a Cleric is optional, as well as taking all of the gold. Curiousity is good, and journeys guarded.

- Hikriss
(The signature is astoundingly legible. Whoever committed this is at least used to writing their own name in Common.)

There is room below the note to add replies, if so desired.
