To Whomever it may concern, It is with great sadness that I must request the permanent removal of the painting that presently allows people to enter the Hinn Inn. It has come to our attention that the Triumvir is unable or simply unwilling to keep those with malicious intent from using it, and hence it poses too great a security risk to our citizens. If you wish simply to relocate it, I would imagine Kampo's would be a much better location. Inner Warmth, ~Nina Thorrow~Meadowlark Deputy Mayor of Bendir Dale

[A reply finds its way back, left in the hands of the Drill Sergeant, respectfully requested to be delivered to the mayor.] To Madame Mayor Thorrow-Meadowhawk, As a Herald of the Triumvir, I am deeply apologetic for the incident that caused this. If you are sure, I will do my best to take down this painting- it is your right to wish for your town to be safe from intruders. Your suggestion has been noted, and thank you for it. Mind you, this is a note representing one of the ideas of a Herald, and certainly not the whole organization. I will probably be by the Hinn Inn soon to gather the painting.

Bendir Dale gets a handwritten letter back from Jon Halifast, co-owner and proprietor of the Traveller's LEague.
He explains that he doesn't have any control over those portals, unlike the 2 way painting portals. The one way portals aren't ones he selected or were chosen or anything like that: They simply are, and are, in fact, beyond his ability to control.
He apologizes for being a simple barman and being unable to stop rampaging mages.

Lyle sends a letter in reply (and forwards a copy to Nina) requesting permission to pursue the disassemble or permanent blockage of the portal in question.

After a few days without reply, Lyle finally gives up while at his office desk.
Well, I gave them a chance. I guess they can't physically stop us from installing an iron door or having an inspection to look into destroying it.
With that, he dispatches a letter to Tuomas and Nina, requesting they all meet in Bendir Dale soon.

*Glendil seems to stop at the Lodge pondering.* If they were able to remove the painting from the Mayfields then they can probably remove it from the Hin Inn as well...though it makes my heart sad...

A reply reaches Lyle. It explains that the last two times this happened, they didn't feel the need to ask permission, and so he's surprised they bothered this time. He explains the delay was because he had to get the other two guilds together to talk about it. He briefly mentions that the Actor's Guild is incredibly upset about it considering they've already lost the Cordor portal and the Monolith portal. He rmeinds Lyle that the fellows getting angry at the Triumvir guilds are doing it in vain because, as he related before, no one in the Triumvir has control over how those portals work: the Triuvmir plane itself is the one doing it and linking to places.
Indeed, Bendir Dale has later 'issues' (perhaps the wrong word, but Bendir probably sees it as an issue) with members of the Actor's Guild speaking to Dale residents and asking them to not remove the painting. Some of them are simple whining complainers and others are actually decently articulate. Most of them blame Elorathall for their current issue and cite that if he hadn't messed with a good thing, everyone else wouldn't have gottne the idea to rip all the paintings down, and now they never get to play for anyone anymore. A few of them also complain about how Arion and Tuomas are doing a terrible job at getting them what they ask for and were evn lied to once. All in all, poor Bendir becomes a shouting ground for upset members of the Actor's Guild to vent their frustration at all of their venues being cut off from their performances.
