Posted in Cordor, Kohlingen, Bendir Dale, Wharftown, and Wiltun. Attention, people of Amia.
Recent incidents have forced our company to amend our policy. Too often have our wares been distributed or stolen by those we vehemently refuse to serve. As such, we will be taking a firmer stance against those who work with or for those of evil mind or blood.
If you knowingly and openly trade with any of the following people or creatures, your patronage will not be accepted by the company:
Pale Masters Underdark Drow Chromatic Dragon Kin All Servants of Evil Deities Devil-Bloods (full, half, or tiefling) Demon-Bloods (full, half, or tiefling)
Exceptions for certain tieflings may be made on a case-by-case basis, but they remain on this list due to the vast majority of those who embrace their vile taint.
If you peddle wares fit for creatures of evil, specifically blackguards, pale masters, or other similar goods, the company will assume that you condone and support the activities of such people and creatures and your patronage will not be accepted. This amendment to our policy is fully retrospective. We do pay attention to the notice boards. If you think you can continue to abuse our company's low prices and good standing and retain the business of evil and dark minds, you will be found out.
We realize that this is a major change, but it was one I had hoped we would not have to make. We at Copper Industries refuse to support the welfare, coin purses, or actions of those we have specifically barred from our clientele and we will not be used by those who support them.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but not for this amendment to our policies. If you are a current customer and currently have bids on auctions run by creatures or people who fit into the list above, you can assume that your name has been taken down and you will not be able to continue doing business with our company.
It is time we traders of good intent stood against the people and creatures who bring only pain and darkness to these lands that we call home. We will only be the first.
With respect, Zelly Copper Industries

*her reply is placed under those announcements she has access to*
Dear Zelly,
I consider it quite amusing that thou differ with drow whether they are good or evil (or rather from the Underdark or not) and not with other races. A good drow is just as rare as a good or neutral tiefling, yet neither is impossible.
Also, I am surprised I do not see goblin, kobold and orc kin on thy list, as they by nature are usually just as vile.
Best regards Ryriska Sharpclaw Ve'heer

A note is written in response and sent by courier.
Ryriska,
We have a separate policy for the other creatures you mention, but you would know that if you took the time to read our company catalogue, where the policies are located. You can be amused all you want, but this policy is not going to change. Fiendish blood is vile. While I know well that a tiefling can be of good intent, I have yet to meet one on these isles - whereas goodly drow are quite prominent. This is a very strong distinction which you knowingly ignore. If I knew a good-hearted tiefling, perhaps I would change the policy. As it stands, I have been given no reason to do so.
I am happy that we have provided for you a source of amusement. That is all this company will be giving you, half-devil.
Zelly Copper Industries

For her part, Aly'dra takes MANY of the announcements and plasters them all over her house, where her stubborn husband will be /certain/ to see them.

*Mikal Stonesword takes a good pause in front of the announcement, reading each word. He then removes his gauntlet and claps his hands in approval."
Finally these companies are growing some sense. I hope Zelly's example will be followed not only by other companies, but also villages, towns and cities. May the Lord Kelemvor bless your initiative, miss Zelly...

Krugan sees the notice and sighs, but nods.
"I was wondering when it would come to this. But I wonder why past dealings will be held against someone when this new rule was not made clear at the time. Seems like it punishes unjustly to hold someone accountable for a new law that was not clear at the time of the transgression. But, it is also her company to do with as she sees fit. Still, I wonder how one knows you are dealing with one of the 'evil' people you are not supposed to if you have never met them before? Like that incident with Jerand and the Half Devil. He didn't know so is he now barred from Copper Industries? Maybe I should seek Zelly out and talk with her. My order should be ready by now anyway."
With that, Krugan will take a copy of the notice and fold it neatly, placing it into his tunic and head toward Kohl to get a clarification on things and his status with the copper kin and her industries.
//ooc Thumbs up Zelly...was wondering when this was going to come to a head...heh.

After a week of creating more furniture and other products to sell in Guldorand, he arrives in Cordor to drop off his wares when he comes across the notice. He rests his wheelbarrow for a moment as he reads over the notice, scratching his head a bit. "Huh, maybe I should keep better track of my customers now. I -have- been willing to sell to almost anyone. Perhaps Cordor isn't the best place to sell my wares anymore." He takes his wheelbarrow afterward and carts it into the Temple of Waukeen to unload his wares at his Morgan and Sons safety deposit box. "I doubt this policy will be good for business. Now them evil folk will persuade everyone else not to buy from Copper Industries as a boycott. The logic in that though is flawed, however, as Copper has the lowest prices that no one else would -dare- try to beat and still be able to put supper on their table."
