*[Drow] in elegant and fluid writing in a red-brown ink, on a sheet of plain vellum a letter is sent to the Temple*

To the great Malla Jabressen who serve in the Temple of the Dread Queen, Hail!

I am a simple Qu'el'Yath'abban who has not yet passed the trial, but I write you with news that I felt to be urgently important and better handled by those who passed the trails than by myself so that those who have committed this crime may face the full extent of the Dread Queen's justice.

I have heard from the lips of a Jalil that dire spiders have been slain by the hands of a creature dwelling in the caverns of L'Obsul.

She gave her name as Mara Tir'encia [possibly Tar'encia]. Her skin was unusually pale to my eyes and she travelled with a Jaluk of feral appearence and ill-manners; which she named Lomir and her servant.

The Jalil claimed that he and an orc-blood were hunting with her and it was through one of the two's actions that the dire spiders were slain. Her tale changed as to who actually did the deed. I saw her conversing with said orc-blood in L'Obsul Jas later and her demeanor was almost timid and friendly. This Jalil also claims to be in training to enter the Temple.

Later questioning of the Jaluk Lomir indicated that the orc-blood alone was culpable of killing the spiders and that later the Jalil rewarded the orc-blood; but the Jaluk is by my observation wild and unpredictable of manner and quite likely to be lying to protect his own hide. His actions speak loudly however and he showed a lack of respect towards the Dread Queen.

These two and the orc-blood I saw many times in the lesser caverns filled with bats and rothe and L'Obsul Jas. I believe they dwell therein.


With greatest respect I trust this matter is now in better hands, Malla Jabbressen.

One of Ul’ath’tallar Nizzre’tyne’s slaves bursts out of the Temple at a dead run. He pauses at the gates of Ussen d’Vhid then is off again only stopping when he finds Qu’el’Yath’abban Oun'dree. After offering a low bow he would offer her the letter yet not linger. As soon as the letter leaves his fingertips, he’s off faster than a rothe with its tail on fire, back to the Temple doors. Once there he kneels to await the door to open and let him back in.

The letter is posted on the Temple notice board for all Yath to view.

~After quickly reading the letter, Qu'el'Yath'abban Oun'dree summons a slave to bring her writing materials. With a swift but clear hand she pens a reply and sends the letter to the Temple.~
