Unsure. First we should better show to visitors and travellers what we already have jurisdiction over, such as the crown of the hill, and the Forest edge.

A Crafting hall there would be splendid, and a tower or some other form of Guard-post on the hill would be good too.

I'm not really sure where the Dale begins and ends but I think the Dale's a whole lot better than most of the surrounding lawless territories so it figures to be a plus for everyone if we held dominion over more of it. I suppose that's a qualified yes and sorry for rambling.

If the crafting hall includes a workspace for gnomish tinkerers and inventors, then you have my full and unvarnished support! I mean, who likes varnished gnomes? Ewww.

[YES] / NO On the condition that those checks and balances serve their purpose. We don't want to end up with another brainless unstable psychopath and their idiot stalker/would-be lover on a power trip with Bendir's politics.

YES / [NO] Bendir Dale has issues enough already with keeping slavers, banites and other scum of the earth out of our lives. More territory just means more place we have to defend, and it would probably attract the local idiot population to go stick their flags in it just to piss us off. That may be letting them win, but we have to think practically on it.

I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but I would like to see about getting a mythal forge nearby so we don't have to use Kohlingen's all the time.

1) Keep in mind, that Slavers/undead lovers are not to be defended, even from vigilante action. Any would-be comrades should defer to you, but monsters like that don't get rights, which includes lawful protection.

2) Remember that our jurisdiction extends north to the forest, west to the mylock hills, east to the skull crag foothills, and all the way to the top of the hill to the south. Don't let any one tell you otherwise.

The Bridge connecting North to South Dale seems to be intact, though a yellow ribbon keeps people from stepping on it just yet. A sign hangs from the ribbon on either side with the words 'Open Soon!'

As you recall, I held a ballot about militarization and other things. Your tally has been taken into consideration. So, I welcome all citizens to attend an open discussion, town hall meeting to decide the specifics about policy. Thank you for being citizens of our fine town.

Crow returns to the construction site, to clean up some of the mess from the work on the bridge. He places any remaining planks, stacked up neatly, close to the Town Hall back wall. He picks up debris, and makes a couple piles, as well as trying to repair any lawn damage.

On a separate occasion, Crow returns and makes another, more concentrated, inspection of the plank layout, loose boards, pillar alignment, and pillar base blocks. Not really knowing anything of construction, he looks for the things his common sense would show to be out of the ordinary. He remembers the plans, and how Pilineth told him where everything goes. Crow cracks a smile, recalling Pilineth, scrambling to see what big fish had tugged on her cloak.

Each time Crow leaves, he is sore, but it's the kind of sore that feels good, deep in your muscles. Crow is happy to have done good, for his friends in Bendir Dale.

Earth genasi female clad in green robes would arrive to Bendir Dale after weeks of absence. She would see bridge completed and offer her apologies to Mayor or any other present official for not being able to assist in finalization of the work. If allowed, she would go and check the pillars and plank connections. She would stay there until she's completely sure that entire structure is safe, and help with any cleanup if necessary.

[The priest of Osiris is seen often in the Dale, looking for either of the town officials. He always checks with the clerks, to see if he can meet yet and when told they are busy, will smile and nod and leave with a Long Life. Occasionally he will be seen with a woman of Mulan with him with several Rose Lilly flowers in her hair. The will frequently sit in the orchard or eat outside at the table as weather permits. Once even being seen in the rain with magical protection that kept them safe, warm and dry.]

Here are how we came down on the issues:

Militarization: Yes. The Dale will be reorganized into two divisions - Swords and Shields. Look out for recruitments in the near future!

Expansion: Yes, but not now. In the future.

Next Project: Gating the North Dale entrance.

Crow leaves a report, as promised.

A man admitted his affiliation with slavers, He was warned to go, and at miss Pilineth's sign, I engaged him. He was brought down, with help. His body was burned outside of Dale lands.

A woman with pale skin and one arm covered, was approached, and asked to see her arm. She took offense, and stripped down to nothing, to prove her point. She was not a Palemaster.

A lone hin can be seen standing over the small Graveyard in the Dale, holding a two headed flail in one hand. He wears simple steel chainmail, with a Brown Tabbard over it. And hung loosely by his side from his belt is a symbol of a dog's head.

Rhyl's name is added, with a stipulation.

*After reading the new posting on Drow, a well dressed, aged looking Hin with grey hair with a greying haired panther close behind will head to the mayor's office.*

"Silky, you sit here and wait. You know they don't like kitties inside and you don't like being in there anyways. You wait RIGHT HERE. No more begging milk from the Baker lady you hear?*

*The large cat gives a low purr, tilting her head to one side as if to say PLEASE, only to get a stern look from the older Hin. She then obediently sits down and waits for her master's return. The older Hin goes into the office, looking for the mayor.*

"Busy? *sighs* Well, I imagine so with all that goes on here in our home. May I have a quill and some ink with paper please?"

*He takes the writing items from the clerk and pens a note, leaving it with the clerk for the mayor*

Sir, we met in Wharftown just the other day. I am Serpent Witherstrike of the Witherstrike family of wizards. It was a pleasure to meet you sir and I wish this letter was of equally pleasant message as I am aware of the many burdens you are currently carrying.

I feel the need to bring your attention to yet another threat to our Dale. Our ancestral enemies the Kobolds are being allow to romp about our Dale unchecked. In fact, they are being defended by tall folk and even some of our very own kin!

I myself, being a resident of the Dale proper, found one and was outright told I would be unwelcome should I continue to protect this creature's presence in our lands by one of our own!

You can imagine my dismay that a Kobold be allowed with no escort, no sign that it has warranted any special privilege or earned the right to be in our lands at all was defended at all. Much less over a resident of the Dale and a member of the Witherstrike family that has served our people well in the past.

I do not wish to further give you burden but, as you have posted about the safeguards of certain Drow being allowed within our good Dale and given the recent Slaver attacks, I feel I should bring such conduct to your attention as we all know Kobolds are just as likely to slit our throats as a Goblin or a Drow.

I freely admit that there are indeed some precious few of these creatures that may not warrant a good smack on the snout with a mace. But how is a good Hin to know this? Take the word of the Tall Folk or a stranger?

Perhaps a list of creatures that are ancestral enemies to our people yet have proven themselves worthy of trust similar to the Drow list is in order?

Or a method of proving they are such as the rings were for the Drow?

My own personal distrust and distaste for Kobolds is well known. As you may or may not know, my family has suffered greatly at their hands. My own great grandfather was killed by them and my father made lame.

I would think that of all places, the Dale would not allow such creatures to run hither and yon unchecked!

When our own people take the word of a kobold over one of their own people to the point of threatening to exile the resident, it gives me great concern. Especially when the Kobold in question gave no evidence of being accepted save just professing to follow the dragon god.

Should we just take the word of a Drow they follow a good god and not Lloth?

This is my concern. I have little love for the lizards myself, for my family has suffered at their hands too long and to many times. But, if the rare one that has proven themselves friendly does come along, I am not so hardened of heart to not treat them as I would another of my kin save, to be a bit wary around them just as I would a Drow or Goblin or even another hin that seemed....roguish.

I will try to attend the next town meeting also and hope we can add this matter to the list of the concerns with the Drow.

Also, I should report I was with a gnome mage, Gannon, when a person came to the gates asking about white dragon eggs. Gannon became quite scared and he and his female human companion abruptly disappeared from our company. My traveling companion, John Skinner, informed me that the woman's name was Lillith or something like this and that she was either a known slaver or an associate of them.

I have also witnessed patrols seeking the slavers also.

All this happened last night.

A rather Stern Letter is left in response.

Keeping yourself hidden by spells, or any other means is generally discouraged, and quite suspect, as for your helmet oath, I may not understand it myself, but as per the ruling you will not be able to enter the dale whilst wearing such, as for outside the town walls, just ask them to kindly refresh themselves of the rules, and then piss off.

And I will be looking into this Roim character too.
