I am stuck... I seem to be having problems with my CD key, it is telling me that i have to email GOG (The website i downloaded the game from) To get a multiplayer CD Key. I have never had this problem before, other than not even being able to log into the server that gives me a message saying my CD key is already in use. This happens on a couple servers every now and then. So is it my game that is messing up? Or did somthin go wrong in Amia?

You should be doing what the message told you. It's neither Amia going wrong or your game messing up; the CD key GOG provide is a generic one they send out to everyone, hence why your CD key is sometimes in use. It's not a unique one.
Like it says, email GOG and ask for a unique multiplayer key. You're entitled to one with a purchase of the game.

Yep. You'll need to change your CDkeys to the multiplayer ones GOG sends you. Once you do, make a new character on your account, and request that a DM authorize your new CDkey. You then should be able to access your old characters.

This seems to an unnecessary amount of trouble to go through. Is there a reason there are now these 'multiplayer CD keys'?

Because the single-player keys you all were getting from GOG were exactly the same key. For everyone. Only one of you GOG-purchasers could be on either server at a given time.

Blame GOG for giving out the same identical CD key to everyone. Aside from the fact as Gers said only one of you can be on the server at once, it also makes it rather difficult for some of our servers with a load of players sharing exactly the same key. Security issues, for one.

Not to mention if we ever banned one of the keys a lot of people would be affected by it, forcing everybody at once to get new keys.

The instructions from GOG are crystal clear and they have a reasonable response time (couple of days).

So is it better if I use these CD keys in place of my old ones when I install the game?
Edit: Also, I suggest a rename of the thread incase anyone else comes here in confusion of what they need to do.

It doesn't matter.
But if you use the public keys, you'll have to change the keys in nwncdkey.ini to the ones given by GoG when requesting for multiplayer keys. So for sake of ease its probably better I guess.

The message in-game actually explains this entirely if you try to log in with a GOG key.

If you bought the game from GOG online, then you follow their instructions to get a unique CD key, which is yours by legal right. If you bought the game from a shop, where you physically go to a shop and walk out with a CD/DVD, the key/code that comes with it is unique and perfectly fine to use.

So I should be all good and clear then, given my copy was baught from the shop? If not, shouldn't be to bothersome to change a single .ini around anyway. Yay, and stuff...

Yep, this only effects people who bought NWN from GoG.

I have renamed the thread to be a bit more relevant. O, and mind, in the description of the game on their website.... http://www.gog.com/en/support/neverwint ... ts_diamondQuote: Games Support neverwinter_nights_diamond_edition Online play in Neverwinter Nights Diamond Problem / question Online play in Neverwinter Nights Diamond Solution
To play Neverwinter Nights online, you will require a unique CD key. Please contact us through this support form and select "multiplayer key request" in the "I have a problem with:" drop-down menu. We will send you the CD key along with additional instructions. It's rather clear and mentioned before you even purchase the game, hehe.
