Subject: Company Meeting

The time has come for another company meeting. This will again be held at the company location in Kohlingen, though I would ask that no one bring visitors with them this time unless you inform me of it beforehand. It is a business meeting, after all!

Items on the agenda thus far are as follows:

1. Salaries
2. Special Projects
3. Events
4. Promotions
5. Expansion

If you have any other points that you wish to bring to the table, feel free to let me know and I shall add it to the meeting agenda. Otherwise, you can bring it up at the meeting, once we've gone through the other points noted. These topics shouldn't be too time-consuming, though I do hope that we can keep the chatter down a bit. The last meeting was quite a lot of fun, but we strayed from the topic a touch too frequently.

Refreshments and snacks will again be provided!

Post-script: If you are unable to make it for any reason, a set of meeting minutes will be sent to you - to which any responses or questions will be welcomed.

Considering the last meeting lasted several hours, waiting until after 3pm EST is probably a bad idea, since I'd likely have to cut it very short so I can go to work then. We could go with a bit earlier, and then stragglers can catch up. As mentioned before, I intend to be around all day Saturday until around 5pm EST, so anyone who wants to come earlier or later can do so and not be left out at all!

3pm GMT IS a ok

That'll be 4pm for me, sounds good.

I think that's 7am my time, which is early, but that's probably better. I'll be tired but I should be able to make that. What day?

Thing is it starts Monday 17th and will be part time till 4th and then full time onwards. That looks like it'll be okay for you, though, so good! We'll stick with that time for the primary meeting and anyone who can't make that time can catch up with Zelly afterward, as she'll be around Kohlingen and the Headquarters all day.

Mostly let me know and I will do my best to work around it but obviously, for RP reasons, if the Lord Arbitrator calls for Ahken to be in Khem, he will be there over Copper Industries. Its not that he wouldnt love to be two places at once...hehe...

I have finally mastered making fine weapons of the like that impress even that grumpy old dwarf, He even said it was work worthy of a master smith! I should like to meet with the smiths guild and let them judge if my work is up to the high standards they set, and if they will register me as a master of my trade.

Hmmphh.. Best laid plans, should have bought an Iphone because the Samsung G2 has an alarm glitch that causes it to go off the following week rather than the following day (must remember to turn it off otherwise a rude awakening next Sunday morning..), so instead of being woken at 1:45 I awoke much later..

So I truly am sorry I only got to meet a few of you, but I hope to meet you all at the next meeting, and look forward to seeing the minutes.

1. Salaries

As before, anyone who hasn't been paid yet, come to Kohlingen to collect. We've been doing very well financially and I know we will continue to do so. Everyone keep up the great work!

2. Special Projects

We discussed for a time the applications and acceptance policy of special projects which are not stated explicitly in our catalogue. These projects include but are not limited to: construction projects for settlements or organizations, specialty items which can be created with our resources, and diplomatic endeavors or alliances. Every one of these projects should continue to fall under our company policies and guidelines, and be approved by the administration - the owner or the Chief Manager (if it is a project which will require the resources of one of the branches, then you can receive approval from that branch manager as well).

Our primary goal on this front is in assisting Guldorand with a militia. This will take time and is subject to their approval, naturally. As such, it is in the hands of our liaison, Leonid Sergey. We also discussed the slavers as a separate topic, though nothing was decided. Further discussion will come.

3. Events

We discussed a few events which I have begun to put into motion through planning. It will be a while yet before everything is sorted for them.

Trade Festival - The Trade Festival will be a great gathering where Copper Industries will sell our goods and services directly to the people who come to the event. We will host various other stalls which will be available for rent to other merchants or crafters unassociated with the company. There will be a live auction, a raffle, and plenty of entertainment. Anyone with ideas can forward them to me as planning continues.

Charity Fundraiser - Potentially separate from the Festival, the charity fundraiser will be a trial run to test its success with the Amian population. We will sell our goods and services over a given time at double the price, and all proceeds will go into a collective pot where we will tend to the needs of the less-fortunate citizens of the hosting settlement. We wished to hold it in Kohlingen first, though some further correspondence will be necessary before we decide. Again, if you have any ideas, forward them to the office!

4. Promotions

Eli Hodgewall remains the Chief Manager of the company.
Alton remains the Manager of the Arcane Services department.
Leonid Sergey has been promoted to Manager of the Craft deparment.
The position of Manager of the Trade department is not yet offered to an associate in the branch. Those who may be interested should make an effort to step forward and show that they have some leading qualities. We are watching!

5. Expansion

This was a topic we didn't quite reach, as the meeting was rather long and had to be ended abruptly after a visit from a Malarite. We continue to look to Cordor for expansion, and still await word from Director Hartman in regard to the stance of the Trade Federation. Until then, I will begin talk with certain individuals around Kohlingen for a larger building. We need one.

Inner expansion is also taking place. The Arcane Services department will be broadening its spectrum to include a research and development program which will be focused primarily on arcane works and magic. Anyone who is interested in assisting, or know someone who may be interested, should contact me.
