Krasus = Dragon Consort to Alexstraza, the Life Binder, in Warcraft Lore. You're thinking of Karsus, also, i'm pretty sure if Mystra did something like that, Ao would intervine.

yep silly me I was thinking Karsus, my point was more of what she could really do if she wanted to. who knows maybe Ao does not care did he care the elven gods cursed a dark elves, she curses the elves he might also not care.

Time of Troubles shows Ao is not all powerful or he could have snaped his fingers and got the Tablets of Fate back at will, so she could do some stuff befor Ao might know or stop her.

Isn't Ao more like "I lost interest after I created everything"?

I'm strictly trolling this topic...

I saw "Albino drow?", and 2 thoughts came to mind simultaneously:

1) Why?

2) 3pik Phail

Thought I'd share...

Mystra did actually cut evil casters off for awhile. Ao said "Give it to them or I de-god you.", iirc.

Seems a simple consequence. And pretty much what happened in the time of troubles as well. "You all suck. You're fired. Go kill each other."

Albino drow are possible. Playing such would definately require an approved request though. As for how drow would react, there's three possibilities. Eilistraeen would likely treat the child like any other child. Vhaerunians would likely train the child as an infiltrator/spy/assassin, or kill it if they're members of a racial purist sect. Llothites would almost certainly kill the child at birth, along with the mother, though a very slim possibility of it being used as slave/spy/assassin would exist. Such are known as szarkai in drow society, I believe.

Annnnnnddd......This.

A bit more detail about Gers's answer to the original question...

The 3.5e sourcebook "Drow of the Underdark" has info on a thing they call Szarkai, which is defined as albino drow. It goes into a bunch of detail on how they are actually considered a blessing from Lolth, called "ghost spiders" in her honor, and are trained from birth to be super-spies who eventually get assigned to go undercover on the surface pretending to be moon elves.

But! That sourcebook is generic D&D, not Forgotten Realms, so everything in it should kind of be taken lightly.

ALSO!

Quote:
Shadow Elf Characters:

... Many tales of “fierce albino drow hunters” among svirfneblin, duergar and slightly too bold human explorers trace their roots back to encounters with Shadow elves.

On that note, Shadow elves almost always are white/pale of hair and skin. And yes, they are -very- awesome.

But seriously, if szarkai are able to be requested, its from DM say so and not because they are in some book. But they're cool. I used to play one in a PnP DnD campaign. They are one of the -very- rare exceptions of the racial norm for Drows. Like those half-dragon Drows, particularly the half-shadow dragon ones. They are supposed to be very rare and frowned upon, but kept as secret and powerful weapons for the endless House wars to give their house a winning edge. That too was from a sourcebook, but not sure how much of it is cannon in Amia. :D

Here's the basically nothing it says about szarkai in FR, also:

Albino Drow in Faerûn
The most infamous of szarkai was the Kiaransaleen high priestess Irae T'sarran, who overthrew the Lolth-worshipers of the city of Maerimydra after their goddess fell silent. She then transported the Undying Temple of Kiaransalee to Castle Maerimydra and began a great ritual to animate the thousands fallen in the battle to claim the Underdark for her dread deity. These events are further described in the City of the Spider Queen adventure.

Yep.

Mystra is confined by Ao's will. She's forced to give all magic users access to the weave. I believe its why she has some questionable gods under her influence.
