A dark figure walks through the city of Cordor, leaving leaflets, here and there, posted on the walls. First was the inns, then the markets. A small pile slyly put in the city center. This had been done time and time again in surrounding cities and towns. In bold dark letters, at the top of the page, the words "Overthrow Tyranny! Attention all friends of freedom!"

When closer inspected, the note goes on.

"In the course of the world's events, it becomes necessary for people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them to another. We hold the truths that all people are endowed with certain unseperable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of one's own future. To secure these rights for the people, governments are instituted among men, gaining their justified powers from the consent of the governed. Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to re-install a new government, and to lay the foundation of principles and organizing it's powers in a way as to most likely effect their safety and happiness.Such as now is the necessity which constraints them to alter their former systems of government. To prove this, let the facts be submitted to a candid world.

The Jarl has repeatedly imposed new laws with severe punishments on a whim. Letting those he gives power to kill as they please, while breaking their own laws themselves. They tread upon the rights of the free men and women who walk among the walls of their city. They unjustly detain or slay without trial. The Jarl has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. They cut off trade of the free by refusing them upon their grounds. He suspends our own legislatures and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

We, the free people, appeal to the heroes of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, publicly declare that this place be free and absolved from all allegiance to the Jarl and all political connection between is and ought to be totally dissolved. For support of this claim, we declare to each other our Lives, our Fortune, and our sacred Honor.

Remember that the man who has been in stocks for months, could have been you. We declare rebellion!! Sign all who wish to join in the fight for freedom of those in need. Rally!"

Returning to the Okapa Otama yet again for another supply of coffee (why, oh why, will the Noway not stock the stuff?), Warden Bellsmith notices a flyer, and laughs. "Yammering morons," she thinks to herself. "And kind of telling, that this idiot would ask everyone else to sign to join their cause, without having the courage to sign it himself." She folds up one of the flyers and carries it back to the Fortress.

A guard is seen removing these placing a notice up. As well passing his orders along to the other guards in the city.

To whom it concerns,

Recruit else where. If you are seen attempting to create future tension between Wiltun and Cordor you will be arrested. If you wish aid from our citizens speak to us openly n justified, not like this. As it stands your plea I am taking. with a grain or salt assuming it is coming from only a trouble maker. As a reminder do not post in our city recruiting again.

An irritated guardswoman cleans up the leaflets and mutters about adventurers with too much money and not enough brains.

The expatriate Knight of Wiltun scoffs upon hearing news of the leaflets being distributed.

"Apparently people still don't know what a Jarldom is. Especially the people who have recently come to frequent it.."

A large figure clad in the greens of the Wiltun guard but with a large symbol of the Windwalker sees one of the leaflets under his boot and cocks his head, reading it curiously. He is silent for a moment and then lets out a burst of deep rumbling laughter, loud enough it might hurt the ears of those nearby.

Ignorant this one. There is no such thing as an inseperable right. Life is a gift given only by the gods. Liberty is something one earns by conforming to the rules of the domain they move or reside in and by fighting to defend their personal freedom when necessary. And pursuit of the future? The only person that can truly stop you from doing that is you. And what's this crap, appealing to the heroes? Adventurers don't rule this city, appealing to them is going to get you nowhere in ending connections between Cordor and Wiltun. And on top of that Wiltun is a Fortress City that is the seat of power of Jarldom, not the Land of the Fuzzywuzzygetalongwitheverybodysparklingrainbow people. Expect strict enforcement.

He sniggers to himself for a bit shaking his head.

The only valid point is that the Jarl Wardens are corrupt and without sufficient oversight. But hopefully that will change. Just a certain little sham trial to go through first. And that will open its own nest of trouble.

He continues chuckling wryly to himself and shaking his head.

*karindi comes upon one of these posters and breaks out laughing rather loudly in the middle of the street, no doubt drawing the attention of many onlookers. ((ooc: i.e. feel free to post and interact)) She then takes the notice and writes a quick note leaving it in it's place, not really thinking about what it would mean without context*

It isn't a civil war or fight for independence if people who don't live in the provence are the only ones fighting the battle, that's called an invasion friend.

*She tucks away his original note with another chuckle*

Assuming "street" means "Cordorian street", Tarich, attracted by the loud noises, comes scurrying over.

"What? What is it? What? Hey, aren't you the pants woman? Where are... Where aren't your pants?"

And this is what Tarich references: "Where aren't your pants" being the inverse of what he usually says.

Tarich's gaze lingers on the message board for a few moments before he asks about what was so funny, seemingly ignoring/not hearing the question about the ring.

*Calin, on one of his visits to Cordor to have a drink with a certain red headed guard captain, hears about these leaflets and openly comments on them to citizens in Cordor*

"Ah ha. This person is not a citizen of Wiltun, or its Jarldom, so this is not rebellion, but assualt. An invasion, by one disgrunteled adventurer who likely broke a law and was punished for it. We, like Cordor, do not have the time or will to deal with the machinations and foolish behaviour of adventurers whom lack common sense enough to adhere to simple rules when visiting a land that is not their own.

Simply put, they are having a little cry. I apologise for the litter on behalf of Wiltun."
