*A shadow did lurk this night,
it left as quickly as it arrived but it left with a find bounty of gold an silver.
Many homes an businesses closed that night would have returned the following
day to find valuables missing. In a central and easily seen location a card would lay
as a signs to the one who came an left*

*upon the back of the card lay a riddle or poem of sorts its meaning left unsaid*

I am a shadow, why do you ask
Let these words reveal the mask.
I made a promise long ago.
Never to steal, to much to far.
So now I stand and I wait.
Knowing I cannot escape promise’s fate.
I opened the door or do i stand outside.
While all else moves on in it’s stride.
More grew of its own free will.
Something I never expected to reveal.
The gift is freely given yet not taken.
Alone in the shadows but not forsaken.
So my promise overshadows my taks.
Never shall I take more than suffice.
I give trust and loyal love their due
I am a shadow why was it that you did ask
I am a shadow, tis my promised task.

*One of these sites include a careful concealed wizards laboratory, a certain wizard was cautious enough to hide his facility an use magics to watch for intruders, though it seems that the shadows slipped past him this time. The wizards house located in Cordor central on the south side would be somewhat ransacked every nook an cranny searched for items of value. A small compartment was found and boots, sword a tome and a belt taken, his calling card left inside for the owner to find*

*Upon returning home, said wizard would instantly realize something was amiss. He would cast various detection spells and attempt to discern who was behind the intrusion of his home.

Entering his hidden laboratory, he would search through his bookshelves making sure his collection of tomes were still in their rightful place. Afterwards he would turn to his chest of drawers, searching through them slowly and carefully, making note of anything that would be missing.

Finally he opens the hidden compartment at the bottom, noticing that many items were gone. A sigh escapes his lips as he lifts the card from its place and examines it, remaining rather calm. After taking a moment to read the poem on the reverse side, he would put the card into a pocket, turning on his heel to exit the room. Glancing back he would mutter.. "Perhaps a revolving bookcase was a little too clichè." Before exiting his house in search of any information on who the card may belong to.*

Belalad as he often does on any of his patrols he checks in at the local shops, temples, and inma within Cordor. Making sure everything has been okay since his last visit, writing a log of any reports or concerns that may or may not of happened in the time.

((Awaits a dm response on the npcs shops and that were involved and any guards that may of been passed by since most shops now are in south cordor. As well if any inform the guard. Sorry for the occly, just don't wanna start reports on something icly if not informed by a NPC.))

*The dark figure moved quickly and quietly through the streets of cordor, his stealth keen an his disuses well played for it would be hard to spot the masked thief for his craft is good, when moving from district to district such would be done in a disguise changed in an ally or side street, an when moving past people going about their day in the shadow he would remain.*

// pls removed the OCC if your awaiting something await it and dont post useless clatter in an RP thread, On that note all the break ins but the one done interacting with a PC was done using the job system on any doors it would allow me to do so with.

*its all quiet the following night, though a man dressed in grey cloth shirt an grey denim pants did visit a certain fence in south, an what was stoleb for the most part was moved, an the man left as quickly as he came.*

* As time goes on this behavior continues, it dose not happen every night but it is frequent, its never the same houses or the same man who may or may not have been spotted, each instance would appear to be a different individual, although the same calling card is often found a the sight of these break-ins, fortunately so far there have been no confrontations an thus far his work has been uncontested in his work in Cordor by law or thief alike. Safe to say this thief or thieves were amassing a tidy sum of loot

*A few people in east Cordor outside the temple of Waukeem would find their pockets just that much liter, as a number of curious individuals congregated, a few bumps and nudges and the thieves loot haul was growing fast. Unfortunately two individual were scouted an later found themselves hold up in the sewers, were they were asked very so nicely to hand over there belongings, such as a complicated exchange an yet the thief got away clean again with more gold to add to his chest*

Seems Cordor's finest are more interested in bulling adventures than stopping them from being robed, looks like this rouge has found a sweet deal.

This week the run of breakins continues. Precious metals an gems seem to be tthe primary targets, it seems some famillys will dine without ther gold goblets or fine silver and thoe precious familly jewls gone.

* A few people in Cordor east would find there coin purse a little lighter, an just a special few would find the thief's calling card in there belongings a ace of spades with the symbol of mask in its center, the card would appear mass produced something perhaps maid with a press an seems of little value, upon flipping the card though it would read "regards the black mask". It Cordor south again a number of houses have been burgled their valuable goblets silverware ,other jewelry and gems stolen the same card left at the scene of each crime. *

*A certain Emporium in Cordor south was visited this day Mr black, an Mr white did venture forth an darkness they did bring, quickly did they subdue those within and valuables changed hands, not a word was uttered and within minutes the shop was cleaned out.

Yet, not all went to plan a slight bump in their well mad plans as a adventure did enter as an most inappropriate time, in seconds he was dazed and yet he ran as fast as he could, Mr whites blades were out an so he bashed the man as quickly as he could but wait...

Turning a guard shouts out "halt"... Mr white turns to Mr black and nods. They both activate items of speed, in seconds they are passing threw south to central to... . As quickly as they came they were gone into the darkness that perhaps spawned them.

Disguises changed, gateways opened, flashing halls, and then ...

That day extra planar merchants were visited the goods quickly moved hands and the gold stolen used to purchase goods and resold to ensure nothing from the heist remained but clean wonderful golden crowns.

But this was far from over... this was only the beginning.*

*past few days have been quiet, seems that since this daring robbery that the dark figures have not lurked about as much, though there is the occasional report of a robbery, an still the occasional card would finds it s way into someones pocket or under the door of some cleared out home or small business, though the black mask an his movers are far from gone, they just labor towards greater goals and spends time counting all the coin they have amassed.*

*Things got rowdy in the long and short today, few games of heated dice as well as drinking games, in the background two dark figures sit quietly nodding and speaking to each-other about this an that*

*Despite a setback unknown to most these burglary did only be delayed, for within a day or so the burglar continue homes robbed and cards left in place of jewels, no place in Cordor is safe left alone after dark for a dark figure masked and hooded would soon find his way inside to remove anything of value quick as a hasted monk of the moon*

~~~ A classically hooded figure flits about the darkened streets of Cordor. Some would even swear the familiarity of the figures garments even their movements unnervingly similar. House by house he creeps with silent fingers leaving not a scent or sign of theft only the tell tale card of mask in place of precious jewels and hidden crowns. ~~~
