A sign is placed next to the tree by the merchants in Djedet. The writing on it is deep and inlaid with pink, the words bold and easily read. From the writing, it would appear that the writer is addressing only those that are aiding in the troubles on Khem, and particularly those close to Djedet. The sign, written in Mulhorandi at the top and then Common under, reads as follows:
Dearest sisters and brothers and friends,
While I am staying here in Djedet I want to offer to you all my services of divine wand and scroll making. If there is anything that you require, please do not hesitate to ask it of me. My gifts are your gifts. My enchantments and blessings are yours. It is my pleasure to service the needs of our community and friends in any way that I am able. You may leave word on this sign, or at the inn, and I will attend them as soon as humanly possible.
Never forget that Sharess is still Bast, our fierce lady of love and war, and that She shall always watch over you.

Under both the signatures is a branding of a pair of lips, Sharess' symbol.

Almost daily, this sign is taken down once and refreshed, the wood tended to to make sure it was not falling apart, and then placed back.

For a little while, the sign had been missing, but it is back again every day and as pristine as ever.
