A sign is placed next to the tree by the merchants in Djedet. The writing on it is deep and inlaid with pink, the words bold and easily read. From the writing, it would appear that the writer is addressing only those that are aiding in the troubles on Khem, and particularly those close to Djedet. The sign, written in Mulhorandi at the top and then Common under, reads as follows:

Dearest sisters and brothers and friends,

While I am staying here in Djedet I want to offer to you all my services of divine wand and scroll making. If there is anything that you require, please do not hesitate to ask it of me. My gifts are your gifts. My enchantments and blessings are yours. It is my pleasure to service the needs of our community and friends in any way that I am able. You may leave word on this sign, or at the inn, and I will attend them as soon as humanly possible.

Never forget that Sharess is still Bast, our fierce lady of love and war, and that She shall always watch over you.

With deepest love,
-Salema

Under both the signatures is a branding of a pair of lips, Sharess' symbol.

Almost daily, this sign is taken down once and refreshed, the wood tended to to make sure it was not falling apart, and then placed back.

For a little while, the sign had been missing, but it is back again every day and as pristine as ever.

*a short note is left tacked to the sign, it is written in hieroglyphs*

Priestess Salema, Em-Hotep, honored daughter of Bast's Sister,

I would humbly request two wands of your crafting, I have the blank wands for your use, my Honored Husband, Priest of Osiris, Imhotep, Imaku of Djedet, tells me you have a spell to prevent death from magical means, one that if crafted into a wand will allow me to help my Greater Sphinx Guardian, Rashidi the Wise One, when we face those of darkness able to inflict death with a touch? If this is so, I would speak with you and give you these wands for your use.

Seeing the note in passing, the Sharessin smiles warmly and plucks it off to give it a quick read and then adorn the sign with a short reply.

Dearest Nefertari,

I am delighted to help you with this, and I am sure you will find great use of the Death Ward wands. You will easily find me around today, and I shall keep my eyes open for you.

With warmest blessings,
-Salema
