All Job points cap out at 30 points at level 27, to make all points accessible to all ECL characters.

No. That is wrong.
I have had Several 30 Characters, And they sure as hell have 33 Job Points actually.
I can have
3x level 2 jobs = 9+9+9 = 27.
And 2x Level 1 Jobs = 3+3 = 6.
27+6 = 33

Then that's a bug and it should be looked into. Job Points
Every character gets 3 job points on character creation and then 1 per character level. This is not influenced by ECL (Effective Character Level), you simply use the levels you see on your character sheet. The maximum amount of job points you'll ever get is 30. This means that ECL has no effect on the job system at all. You can spend your job points to buy jobs and ranks. _________________ Login: The Copper Queen

27+6 = 33 I bet this is a rebuilt character: Ask a DM to clear your job log and stop conciously exploiting a bug in the job system and treating it like a feature.

Then it is a bug and still not something you should consciously be exploiting if you know you have 33 job points when the max is 30.

Testing is not an excuse to exploit, moreover, you've kept the characters this way for awhile and not informed a DM to have you job logs refreshed and deleted.
We have "Testers". Your job, if you find a bug, is to let us know. We test.

well if we get 3 when you make the person who is level one, then 1 job point every level after is that not 32 total and not 30 like the page says?

maxes at 27, or should though it seams there are some bugs.
3,2,1 is the easiest combo of job levels to go by, or 10 level 1 jobs. still can't get two level 3's with 33 but it means you -could- abuse it and get 3,2,1,1. the whole idea behind it, imo, was to make sure people RP and trade, but my egg sales seam to prove people don't want to, well, some. it took me literally a day to get a blade forged and mythaled, and i've another to go XD either way its fine how it is, and one extra job imho is no biggy but tormak seams pissed.
so, at level 9 you can has 4 level 1 jobs because 3+9 is 12 - 3+3+3+3... i'm sure you get it now.
ed: also mithril =! mythal, stop telling me you can craft >_<

Thanks for clarifying. I'm surprised I didn't find out earlier, because I read that page a few times over and the information I was after is in the exact same paragraph that I quoted.
