I have recently become a "scribe" and am trying to make books and stuff however I am unable to. I collected Papyrus, but noticed that there may be a difference between Food:Papyrus and Papyrus used in the job system. If this is true, where can I find Papyrus for the job system? I am also unsure as to how to change the description and title of books and other things made in the job system. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

You grow it yourself with the market gardener job.

*Cough*

Or you find a Market Gardener to sell it to you.

Not a fan of the idea that someone can be a level 3 in one job and a level 1 in 10 others... It rather defeats the purpose of the system.

Level 1 sucks in many jobs tho. Try gathering materials with only 1 rank. You will be gathering all day.

Exactly, 1 rank of a job is only 50%.

Being at 1 rank Herbalist, even with a spot having a nice bunch of plants bunched together, still ate away hours of trying to gather.

And then crafting. If you need 2matierals per craft, and 1 rank, you have 50% chance of success? You're really burning off time and resources [matials and/or gold] on each failed craft.

So, sure, you can have 10 jobs 1 rank. But you'll also be commiting more time than somebody with a 2nd or 3rd rank in a job.

Generalization vs Specialization.

Now, onto topic, as for the Food: Papyrus, I wonder if that was supposed to have gotten removed wherever you're finding it. And old spot I knew for it is gone [the food]. Or I've forgotten.

As for Job items though, the give-away is that all job items are lettered in Orange.

hi
Think proper description is in the Scribe Job page :
http://www.amiaworld.net/about/ds_j_jobs.php?job_id=88

To create an empty page, put Market Gardener papyrus in a Scribe Desk and select Process this item.
To create a tome or a book, put the proper ingredients and repeat.

To change a job item name, put it in the Scribe Desk, close it then when you get the same dialog box, simply go in the SHOUT channel and enter
Quote:
ds_j name this is my new item name

To overwrite (replace) current item description, you need to shout :
Quote:
ds_j bio this is the new description

To add a sentence in the description, use
Quote:
ds_j append additional stuff here

So the 'Research job' outputs requiring Empty Pages can use any of the above, right ? Think they all show up in Job Matrix as using Ressource_ID 396 (Logs/Windmill/Miller), while other Empty Pages listed above have ID 414/415/419/421. This does not impact recipes ?

Nopes, all the options generate resource 396. I just needed more entries to show the different input options.
