i was in the manor tonight and noticed much to my chagrin that when i cast control undead on a coven leader i don't even get a roll doesn't say spell resisted in log either. has this spell been changed or is it just broken?

Coven leader = boss of the area?
Because fairly sure bosses get immunity to that sort of thing, to prevent everyone wandering around with, say, Fire Giant Queens, etc.
There also could have just been a spell cast that gave immunity to them.

Control Undead hasn't been changed, and you should still be receiving a roll against the Coven Leader. Have you tried it on other undead?

Might it be a Hit Dice issue? Not enough caster levels, mayhaps?

I seem to recall something about coven leaders and control undead being altered but it was a while ago now. EDIT: might be in here - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36549On the subject of domination, it'd be cool if the durations of dominate monster and control undead we're brought into line with dominate person. Or vice versa.

Yes I could get the priests but no roll on leader. Tried on 2 resets trying today will post again. I have 28 caster levels and.epic spell focus necromancy.

Control undead is just one of those spells where, sometimes, just sometimes, it simply doesnt fire. Just like undead to death not affecting everything that it should at times.
