If it's something exclusive to Amia and its website, then it sounds like the problem is out of her hands until it's fixed, unfortunately.

ISP problem likely, or something broken on the way from her to Amia. Tracert recommended to see where the problem is.

She used TraceRT, it timed out. I suggested it was her ISP or local box.

Only thing I can think of currently isssss... her IP probably isn't static, and so the server isn't accepting connections from her current IP. I've told her to open up the 5121/5122 ports on her router to see if that fixes it. So lets collectively pray that the Discomotrom accepts her filthy british connection.

My IP isn't static either and I've never had this problem. But yeah, lets just hope this issue'll solve itself soon.

Hatred (in the UK) was having the same issue starting late Friday night (GMT) after she upgraded Windows Live Messenger. She could see other servers and websites, but the servers weren't in the Gamespy list and trying to direct connect just timed out. Not sure if she's been able to get back on since.

Well I don't know about the majority of Amia's players, but I have nwn ports forewarded and a static IP locally. What I'm wondering is if the new MSN in UK uses the same ports as NWN, or perhaps the same ports as Gamespy NWN. Plausiable? If she has this issue again, get her to try direct connect to the server. Might work, if she hadn't already tried this. To be extra sure, set up some port forewarding for NWN and Gamespy. http://portforward.com/Also, check that your windows firewall hasn't suddenly turned itself back on for no reason. Sometimes it does that...which is not something I can explain. @Sune: You probably do, you just don't realise it. Most of the minor ISP's rent out boxes from Major ISPS and use their lines. Which means if something goes wrong with major ISP's it effects minor ones to.

I doubt it's the new WLM causing it. That'd be some big-time network disrupting and probably illegal, too.
My bet is routing issues at some point of the network between Amia and you. If it's still happening, try connecting to another website hosted in the Netherlands.

Mmmrm, had the new one for awhile now I think and everything was working fine till last night (two nights ago?)
Probably just something... odd... going on. But unless it crops up again.. eh. Will give that goggle DNS thing? a gander if I can.. figure out what it is though regardless just to be sure.
