A notice is placed on the notice board near wakueen, written on plain parchment and appears something like written in pencil

"request an immediate update of the old cordorian law books, I have been told they are outdated. failing this I ask that an independant writter compile such a book, relevant to the newly named city of water."

the note seams rather plain, no fine print or sections of law are noted, and no name is left on the parchment.

If you are an adventurer with a copy of the Cordorian Law Book released under the corrupt regime of Duke Montgomery d'Cordor, his noble allies and adventurer mercenaries, treat it as a text with historical relevance rather than contemporary application. Become nationalized by earning a Certificate of Citizenship and you'll be a fellow citizen and worth the investiture.

*after some time indeed, Null returns to the postings, a bit less obscure with his identity this time*

"I have a few concerns with the previous post, it is copyed from the old laws, and I have had various people tell me that humanoid familiars are aloud in cordor. such as fey and other less distracting creatures.

There has also been some discussion of gambling laws, and from what I have witnessed I believe you need a permit. it is not fair to visitors to have no indication of the updates.

I am somewhat interested in the citizenship application aswell, but I reside in Guldorand, I do not know if it is lawful to become a citizen of more than one place, though I am not officially a citizen of guldorand I have ties to the place.

signed...Null"

*he tacks up the notice, and gives a quick nod to the guard, that they might inform their superiors.*

ammendum: Leon, I would be happy to discuss this with you personally over a drink, let me know when your off duty.

The laws posted above are not the old laws under the Duke, but are the laws as they currently stand. Fey familiars are allowed only because fey themselves are allowed, and it is difficult to distinguish between one and the other, so as long as they do not make a nuisance they are allowed. Avian companions and familiars are also permitted, such as ravens and hawks, but any other companion, familiar, or summon must be left outside the gates.

The gambling regulation has been in force for some time, but is not one of the main laws of the city which is why it doesn't appear on the law tablets. There are numerous regulations that fall under the broader jurisdiction of various laws, and they can usually be discerned by using common sense. If you ever have doubts about the legality of something it would be best not to do it until you can inquire with a guard. When a regulation that is not written into the general law is violated, a verbal warning is given and punishment only ensues if the person refuses to alter their behavior or correct the mistake. This applies to the gambling regulation and also applied to the recently repealed weapons regulation, and most other regulations and many minor laws as well. If a guard tells you that you shouldn't be doing something, don't do it. Arguing the point or openly defying directives from someone identified as a guard just increases the duration or severity of the punishment you will receive.

If you have further questions about specific regulations or laws you should address them directly to guard personnel or to the Ministry of Law, rather than in open forum.
