Mkay. Illthiads are an epic hunting area right? So is there meant to be a spear called Sunstone Spear with only +3 Enchantment and 3 Fire Damage in the lootbin?

It got dropped from a normal spawn, not one of those named ones. So I thought it really odd such a weak and inexpensive +3 weapon was in an area that generally drops out +4 loot. I also got a Blank Page, but I'm pretty sure that was meant to drop...unfortunatly.

Asking here because its a question and not a confirmed issue, so no need to shove it in Improving Amia I believe.

That's one of the randomly generated items. I'd ask for this to be moved to Improving Amia if you want that generator beefed up or removed from the +4 areas.

my experience in the illithids (and contested caves as a whole on B) is a pretty varried drop rate. I've gotten items that sell from over 80k to stores to ones that barely top 5k

Yeah, I've gotten +3 random in the Abyss too (and even +2 >.>)

Ever get a light gem or a book of lore? I think a +3 Sword of Lightning is waaaay better than getting something that sells for nothing at all.

Not every drop can be gold. But more of the drops should be generally useful.

I'd kind of like it if books of transmutation weren't quite so random in their dropping. Maybe stick them on a low-mid level boss. As it stands, all of my characters who need them don't have them, and I still find them semi-regularly on Arkady even when in the Gauntlet or mindflayers or whatever. Typically my characters have 4+ pages for it before even seeing someone else get one.

Light gems are cool, I love getting those especially different colours. I found a green one the other day which I think is rare. Need more reds and blues and greens. Variety is nice.

One of the benefits of mastered loot over ABC

No one gets shunted with the low-gold loot from a couple of dodgey rolls.

Question answered, and nah Uce not going to push for it to be removed. So no need to move.

Personally, a blank scroll or bone wand is good from any mob in amia... seeing as they are a pain to get, and some people need them in large quantities for faction supply, or in merchant toons, or if ur a caster RDD whom likes to horde around 100 blanks at any given time... but yea, if i was in an epic dungeon with mobs thated take 5 people to even consider killing... id like t get blank scrolls and wands from them =] but then again... im weird like that...

I've got 3 light gems, bone wand and a book of transmutation in the abyss. So its random.

I like this idea. Maybe dropped from the boss in the Orc Caves along with his head.

No thanks. Guaranteed drop ruins the fun. Find them randomly or buy one off a PC.

Is there any way to roll for loot when they're spawned, and if they get it then use it? Or is it already the case that monsters that use weapons already have far better weapons than can actually be found?

The weapons critters have on hand are balanced against there hides and feats so it would be a no go.

If anyone has item descriptions you can send them to me, don't care about powers thats the easy part but descriptions take up time.

I've gotten a Light gem as Epic Loot a few times. <.< Real buzz kill when you see you got loot from a boss and its just that. Especially when its a red one or has any other icon that matches an Ioun Stone.

To me thats just funny, but light gems, as i understand it (aswell as blank scrolls and wands), don't roll from the epic bin so you wouldn't have got loot anyway. I recall one person i was playing with getting a Flawless and a Sure Strike from the same drop, and I got a Blank and a Mystran Tome from Maxi once.

Yep that's how it works exactly. Its still a bummer. Since you see it and OMG Dusty Rose Ioun! Oh its a red Light gem. . .

Ahem. *Points at herself* Never got a single epic item. So...yeah.
