That's what I said, I always imagine Cordor as it is, really light/white and shiny but.. the override looks awesome when you get used to it. Plus, aren't the floors great? *Shiftyeyes*
There's my own override I made for the City Exterior. So Areas like Cordor, Shadowscape, Kohligen. It makes them use the TNO textures that came from 1.69. Hope you guys like them.
Epic, I love this to no end, Great job!

Looking at it in Toolset, I think it would look better if the paving wasn't so dirt-encrusted. Where you have special tiles, there is a clean spot in the dirt.

Very cool! I look forward to the dirt version, give Cordor that nice poverty-stricken feel.
How long until we can expect a rural revamp? (I would love you for that, by the way!)

Toro's Rural reskin is already amazing. I don't think I could top that. Im looking at more of the one that have never been updated or reskined. I should have the Dirt one done after Thanksgiving/this weekend.

For this, I originally had a cleaner texture for the main ground, but then it just seemed too clean. The main roads should be dirty or look well used. The special ones where the clean cobble is, are around fountains, planters, etc. Areas wagons and people don't stomp over all day leaving all that dirt. They are also probably more well maintained.
Also this tileset is extremely picky, the textures are shared all around, so I make one section look nice or better, I need to look all over to see if it screwed up something else, 90% chance it did.

The cloak.2da thing works. You just have to put it in override. Or apparently, I had two copies, one in the original folder and one in the override canceling each other out. Anyway, changing them both to what I wanted (the thin cloaks to show wings) worked fine. If we can turn in on server-side, t'would be awesome.

I got it to work too. But crafting the cloaks can remove your wings till you switch back to a wingless cloak or relog. Its a bit glitchy with your wings.

I'd like to see a scim override that changes the apperance to actually look like scim's. The NWN scims are not scims really, nither are those in that override.

I just tried to download it, and I use this as an example to all that creates different packages to download. Why aren't you all spending 60 seconds more to explain what people can/should download?
I came to the homepage (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Te ... ail&id=129) and got four different alternatives for downloads with no real explanations about what difference it was between them.
City_Reskin_HAK.rar
City_Reskin_Dirt.rar (3 files)
City_Reskin.rar (39 files)
City_Reskin_Dirt_Ground.rar (39 files)
City_Reskin_HAK.rar, I figured was for the servers using HAK:s so I didn't touch it. Can I be able to play in Amia if I would?
Then I downloaded and installed City_Reskin_Dirt.rar. No problem, just 3 files. After that, I downloaded and installed City_Reskin_Dirt.rar, but there were three errors, since this package included three files with the same names as in City_Reskin_Dirt.rar, but with different time stamps and sizes. The files in City_Reskin_Dirt.rar (2009-11-26) were newer, so I decided to not include the ones in City_Reskin.rar (2009-04-16). I don't know if that was the correct way to go.
After that, I downloaded and installed City_Reskin_Dirt_Ground.rar. This one included exactly the same files as was included in City_Reskin_Dirt.rar with the same timestamps (2009-11-26). Beside that, all files in City_Reskin_Dirt_Ground.rar were exact copies of the ones found in City_Reskin.rar so in the end, the download was useless since all files included in this file was already downloaded and installed in my NWN override folder.
So, why not just put a label in the description that "If you want to download all overrides at once, download only City_Reskin_Dirt_Ground.rar" A hint like this would have put me on the correct track at once and I wouldn't have all this problems with deciding if I should install a file in the override folder based on timestamp and size. I have several overrides now and I really must take note when a file is overwritten to be sure it's not from another override package downloaded from some other place on the net.

If you read the note under the files it says exactly what they do. Ones a hak, one is an update so people don't have to redownload just to have dirt floors, One is the whole thing with cobble floors and the other is the whole thing with dirt.
AKA
City Reskin is the normal full version with cobble.
City Reskin Dirt Grounds is the Full version with dirt instead of Cobble.
City Reskin dirt is just the dirt so those that already downloaded the cobble version don't need to redownlaod the entire thing just to change the cobble to dirt.
City Hak is of course the hak.
I placed those notes there on purpose. And they both are different. About 95% of the textures are the same yes, because I only changed the floors as some requested.
You can also go in individually and remove the breaths. I found another file which had the breaths properly that I now uyse but I foret where it was...

If you go into the second override and NOT copy any files with the prefix VAR or VCA, then the breaths will be fine and the other shapes should work. Deleting them from your override will fix them too, as Tormak said.
The swirly fog is what you see in the background of NWN if you log in to the lobby to see the server listings and the chat rooms. So the overrides for that are recolours only.
The checkbox for never showing the party invite popup is a standard part of NWN's interface, the override for it eliminates the control so that you can't accidentally check it. This is a useful annoyance fix.
Anything which goes in the override folder can be removed if it causes problems, with no ill effects apart from obviously not having that resource appear in the game any more.

Most override of such type do up the data being shoved through your computer. So lag can be expected. Its like taking the 64meg textures and tossing on another 100 or so meg's.

Unfortunatly it's not available trough the crafting system, which is a shame. Why is it not in the crafting system? Why, whyyy!?
Hrm... So since it's not in the crafting options downloading the override is the only way to see it, for now atleast. But they should have just put it in the crafting options in the first place. Bah!
Disco was having problems integrating anything that wasn't armor into the crafting system, due to how the crafting dialog is written. Many agree with your pain but there's no easy fix.

Does anyone still have a Kobold high resolution override?, I used to have it but lost it in a format and I cant find it through google (its not the one that changes them to look like red lizardmen). Thanks.

I think it was in one of my two override threads before this one. But they got smacked down by the forum purge. I may still have them saved some place, as I did a big save of all my threads before hand.
In the meantime. I'd thought I'd go on one of my ever famous walks through NWvault and see what else I can find since my last walk-a-bout. Found some goodies already.
I HIGHLY recommend NWN-CQ and NWShader together. NWN-CQ and NWShader made what NWN2 should have been. NWN updated with the newest graphics.
Oh and always, use at your on risk. For example. if you notice one override makes use of a tileset you want to replace, put that one in your override first, and then add the one you want it to replace after. Be very careful about what you override, and you'll get exactly what you want.
Also note that the low quality of some of these pictures probably has nothing to do with the overrides but everything to do with what settings the people who took the pictures where running at.
