Kaylee's home in the southern section of central cordor is seen trashed, all the windows blown out, and it seems that a magical war had taken place within.
She was not seen at all after the house was discovered raided, and there were not many clues as to where she was.
There was a slight body shaped depression into the ground, and Kaylee's royal longsword, "Rosethorn" was coated in blood and stuck in the center of the dining room table.
Blood, of course, was streaked across the interior of the home. It looked to have been the result of slashing weapons. . .
One thing was known: Kaylee was gone. . .for now.

*Rastan, curious about the smell that plagued him as he walked along the streets soon sees the massacured building*
What the feck.. *Rastan pulls out a piece of cloth and covers his nose as he walked into the building, surveying the carnage* Who the hell would do this..? Wait, what is THAT? *Rastan stares at the body shaped depression, and the longsword* ....*Rastan swiftly jogs to the speedy delivery service, and fills out a letter.*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Captain Yance,
I have recently discovered, upon one of my usual walks around the city, a rather devastated building in Central Cordor. Blood obviously was spilled, and I found a strange depression on the floor of said house. A longsword was lying beside the depression, I did not deliver it to you as I did not wish to tamper with evidence, and I felt it was right to notify you of this. The longsword is bloodied, as well. The house lies more towards the Southern part of Central Cordor, and I hope that this letter reaches you A.S.A.P.
"The Lady Fire," As Kaylee had become known, still had not re-appeared, nor had anyone put forth much effort in finding her. The house still rest in ruins, and her sword still remained buried deep within the wood. The depression in the ground, however, seemed to be rising.
Vesad Realur was humming to himself as he slowly sauntered through the central district of Cordor, casually gazing around the streets with the faintest of smirks. The smirk soon dropped from his face as he laid eyes upon the blown-out home. Slowly, cautiously, he stepped over the threshold of the house, into the ruins, and with a concerned frown, began to peer around what was left of the house.
Finally, he turned his attention to the bizzare depression in the floor, then the bloody blade. The bard stepped forward, closer to the depression, and crouched down to examine it closer.
'Well, whatever do we have here...?'
Jess, having heard of the abandoned house from one of her 'customers', makes her way there post haste. Taking great care to cover her tracks and remain unseen, she sneaks in and steals the longsword.
"Probably had it comin' anyway".
The longsword, interestingly enough, would become unbearably hot to touch when grabbed.
Obviously it wasn't a plain peice of metal. The sword had peculiar markings on the hilt guard though, most certainly a foreign royal seal that made it rather unique.
A dark-clad figure with glowing purple eyes might be seen investigating the apartment. He takes samples of blood, paying keen eye to everything around him with an expert fashion. The form also tries to grasp the handle of the blade and upon noticing how it begins to burn him he slowly removes his hand from the hilt. The elven male changes his pair of gloves into the Freezing Gloves (/1d12 cold), dressing himself in Fire Giant King's belt and adorning himself in Endure Elements spell. After all these precautions he tries again to remove the blade.
// wouldnt the guard have this place locked down? Or people just stroll in and out of a bloodied appartment without a guards notice or care? I was under impression the guards were still heavy in the south.
//no Guard reply after a long while. Also I would assume that a bloody high UMD skill, bags of holding and an apparent abundance of time would allow for the 'theft'(not intended to be permanent, don't worry about that) of the weapon. It was left there unattended and I don't know of any character specific items. If I'm wrong and this is a character specific item then I guess I'll ask that we 'ignore'(ugh) that RP post.
(The blade is essentially bound to her.  . You'll see why its not 'grabbable.' Besides, isn't stealing a unique blade generally.. unhealthy? Lol!)
The blade, with each attempt to be moved, seemed to gravitate further into the wood.. until it sheared through it, and ended up stuck in the ground near the depression.
Jess, during her short sulk nursing a scalded hand, continues to stare belligerently at the nasty sword and it's affinity for the depression in the floor.
She considers the rather obvious circumstances in which the now coveted sword came to be alone in the room. Past 'incidents' she has herself been involved in begin to drift through her mind and, in a fit of criminal inspiration, she takes out a little Faded Ball and gives it a meaningful squeeze.
Habit forces her to whirl about. seeking to examine all corners of the room at once as the little nuances of divining magic prickle her eyes. She turns eagerly to the depression in the ground and sees...
