Technically you can be part of a house without being a noble. Namely by being a servant and the like. You then however do not carry the house name. And it probably is tricky to find a reason to not be with those you are a servant of at least for a longer period of time. In this scenario it would only need a request if you are the servant of a very well known or famous person. 3. No PC masters High magic on Amia.

When it comes to a DC request item, if you had an item very close to what you wanted, but wanted something else added to it.... do you pay the DC price for what is already present or just the item to be added?
Example: +5 boots with +2 ability mod, and you want a feat added through a DC request. I haven't worked out the details yet of why this would be applied to boots, but... assuming I could, the DC cost to add a feat... would it be the same as a new set of boots or just to add that extra bonus?
Thanks!

With DC items you generally pay for the powers on the item you are requesting, so in your example it would be Dodge, Ability+, and feat DC cost all added together. The only real benefit of having a base item is that you have a basis for your request RP, rather than RPing the creation of the entire item from scratch.
EDK: Yes, renameable via request.

I see people adding vfx to their DC requests, and though I've found things like a small list of vfx names on the net, I'd still like to be able to actually see the spectrum- I know NWN has tons. There used to be a mod in the nwvault for browsing all of them.. is there another way to view them in the toolset? I understand it freezes things so I'd have to then jump into the mod to see them probably :/

This usually is a good way to get the visual in mind, although from my experience not all of the numbers are entirely accurate, but still! Alternatively, this module will let you brows through them IG at your leisure. Also! Weapon VFXs are easy to view, under "Item Properties" It's got it's own little tab! Hope this helps!

Greater Dispelling is by default a level 6 cleric spell. The Drow domain gives a cleric access to Greater Dispelling as a level 6 cleric spell. PaladinOfSune wrote: Drow Special Ability: Bonus Feat - Resist Poison Spells: 2 - Clairaudience/Clairvoyance, 6 - Greater Dispel, 8 - Greater Planar Binding In other words, this aspect of the domain does... nothing? Blasphemy! Plop those NPCs in!
I get it, though! Then again, Kohl doesn't even have a decent mage shop and they got their tower finished, lol.

Craft Wand costs nowhere near it is supposed to cost according to either the Amia forum or the nwn wiki: which both list it as CL (of the wand) x innate level x 750. The cost I get is around a 5k difference each time. I'd love to know the actual formula Amia uses and then have someone edit the modified feats page to reflect it?

Wand: (CL x innate level x 750 x .75)
Potion: (CL x innate level x 50 x .25)
Which condenses to
Wand: (CL x IL x 562.5)
Potion: (CL x IL x 12.5)
But it's really easier to look at the NWN wiki and just multiply the costs by .75 or .25

What's the rationale behind the Triumvir being gone but portal system, now a series of colored lamps and not at all like the old system, remaining and bearing the name? If this is something I need to find IC, ok, but it seems an odd mishymosh of "here but not here".

I'm not sure! I make scrolls so rarely I didn't bother mathing it out. Make a few, compare your result with what's listed on the wiki.
Your result divided by the wiki's listing gives you the discount percent Amia uses.
Make two or three, and if you get the same discount every time, you're got it figured.

Is that link for the heads in use different than the one on the Amia webpage? http://www.amiaworld.net/files/heads/I'd kinda like to see that link somewhere more easily accessible, like the links on the left. I've found myself digging it up more than a few times (it's buried in a Varia post).

Can anyone come up with a short list of Amia-specific powers and divinities? If there are spoilers or the information is not readily known, you can exclude them. So far I have:
Salandra The Rider(replaced Baalzebul in our setting) Feleis(local aspect of Bast/Sharess)
Secondly, are there currently any NPC Divine Oracles of the Salandran Temple? I don't think there are any PC ones still around, unless they've kept it well hidden over the years.

Besides a request, would it cost me DCs to have a different race's phenotype for a PC I may make? Like, just, elven phenotype for a human I want to represent as small. No elven ears on the head, nuttin.

If you were just a short human, I think you would need to pay the 5 dc's for it unfortunately. A half elf/feytouched can get a free one to the more appropriate size but that's it (and done due to the limitations of their implementation)

From the Mythal Crafting page: Quote: Armor, gloves, and small-medium weaponry may have a maximum of 4 benign (positive) powers. Large weaponry may have a maximum of 5 benign powers. A longbow is a Large weapon, right? So it can have five powers? So... I've been cheating Kaithan out of a mythal slot this whole time?

That's both super lame, and kind of frustrating that the mythal crafting page is so misleading. "All large weapons except bows" absolutely needs to be included there.

IIRC it was left at 4 since ammuniiton gets its own slots, something non ranged users can't take advantage of. So your bow gets 4, your ammo gets 2, for a total of 6, compared to 4 for everything else, 5 for Big Stuff.

Ehrm... that's a fairly winning argument, actually. But still, it really, really should be explained correctly on the mythalcrafting info page. Right now, it's basically lying.

Something that's been bugging me lately. There used to be a large shield called "Death Shield" that was sold in Shadowscape. Was it moved, or did it get eaten by the shops overhaul? I've asked around IC, but no one knows what I'm talking about. I've got one on my old shifter so I know it used to exist.

In what order does the NWN brain select which stack of arrows to pull from your inventory and move to your equipped arrow slot, when the stack you're firing from runs out?

What a fantastic question. I had always assumed it pulls the first stack available in your inventory, but I suppose I could be wrong on that. I've never paid attention.
