had an idea for a bg build that uses shapechange srolls to polymorph into balor form..

will i retain my original pre poly charisma(item boosted) and still have dark blessing and can use divine might and divine shield? any merit to this?

Gear does not merge with shapechange, your CHA will drop to its base value. You may be able to use your feats when polymorphed, but I don't think you can use BG's widgets when polymorphed (but you can use them before you use shapechange).
