I am not sure how accurate the above post is but according to the figures there are around 2300 dwarves in Cordor, (not to mention 2000 half-elves, 1750 elves and 1600 hin and gnomes) minus however many died/fled during the recent Arcanium mischief.

Specifically for the dwarves how is the population organised, and how much is common knowledge to a dwarf PC?

I know there is Elftown in Cordor South, and a Hintown somewhere, is there a Dwarf quarter somewhere full of craftspeople and traders?

Thanks.

My guess is that the Cordor government would keep their citizen census to themselves in these later years (in terms of those exact numbers and timeline fluctuation) and may not even be totally correct. A "dwarf town" has never been directly involved with my PC there but Kobra is the DM to go to-- and my guess is that it wouldn't be super hard to find out about one if it existed. More than that would probably have to be done IC!

I wasn't really going for census info, I just quoted those figures for reference on the estimated size of the population. I was rather asking about common knowledge about the dwarves in Cordor. I doubt it is anything hard to discover that would require IC investigation or summoning DMs to possess NPCs to ask, I think it would be easy enough to observe or hear about by someone who frequents Cordor often. You know something like:

"In the X part of Cordor there are uniform rows of functional single story stone houses, occupied by a large community dwarven crafters and traders. Dark smoke fills the air and the sound of hammers on anvils ring out. This small section of the city is commonly referred to as Little Delzoun"

Or whatever. Just any small pieces of fun knowledge that one might find in a guide book.
On a side note if any lore monkey characters feel like writing a IC guidebook to Cordor to discribe the different parts of the city, even better.

Cordor has had a lot of people dying as late. So whatever demographics were recently had will be off by thousands, possibly tens of thousands.

Yup. And even for basic knowledge like that, you'll have to check in with Kobra.

Officially speaking from an IC stand point, the official demographics of the Commonwealth's citizens, which had been housed within the Office of the Bureau of the Census, vanished along with the Government Center when the floating Central faded away.

There used to be 2300 dorfs in Cordor???? The HELL is the matter with these kin?!! Not trying and steal away your populace, but we are, I am wondering if Barak Runedar's campaign to welcome any of Codor's dwarves into Barak Runedar resulted in any kin taking us up on the offer. Between the chaos, war, and.. you know.. Cordor, I mean *cough* New Tarkuul *cough*.. I hoped we'd snipe a few off them. hahaha

I must poke DMs to find out!!

Just a reminder to our dwarvish friends - there's an idol of Sharindlar in the Temple of Love.
