It is the worst feat in the game.

So even if you got it for free, it is still terrible?

The moment you select it, it goes into your backstory, kills your parents, slays your master, refridgerates your love interest, substitutes every adjective for "shadowed" and every other emote into "*Smirks.*"

Well, for characters with only 1 APR, it's better than Weapon Specialization.

Can you put Enhancement bonus on to gloves? If so, why have we stuck with just AB for all gloves in the module?

Greater Magic Weapon can be cast on gloves for that +5 damage/penetrating damage reduction. If I recall correctly, it is not possible to use the mythal crafting system to put Enhancement bonus on gloves.

As for AB on gloves:

Enhancement is nicer, however. Extra damage on monks is sexy.

Is it possible to have a visual effect on a weapon that has it's colors changed? Like, the effect is the same but instead of it being, say, red flames, we make it blue flames for cold weapon damage?

I mean for a custom DC request - not a complete module change. But is it possible -at all-, and if not, is there a cold weapon visual I have simply forgotten?

It seems like these should exist, but I have never seen any. Pretty sure I know everything in the epic loot bin, and I don't recall anything with wisdom on it besides the +6 WIS amulet.

They are +3 Dex.

There are +5 AC/+3 Ability boots of all Abilities but Wisdom.

As I have a cleric as my main, I must ask; do they intentionally not exist, or was it just an oversight when creating the epic lootbin?

If I have an 8 charisma, what happens with the abilities Smite Evil, Divine Wrath, and Purge Infidel?

Does Smite Evil give me a negative bonus to AB?

Do Divine Wrath and Purge Infidel simply not work because of the negative duration?

What happened?

I came back tonight and the computer WHOOSHes louder than I remember it WHOOSHing (maybe it's the same?). Also I can't stay in a big area like Wharftown or Nexus Falls for more than a few seconds without crashing--with a little determination and a portal wand I made it to Zeek's where I was safe from the Crash Grue, but then I got bored and stepped out of Zeek's and promptly crashed again.

Le sigh.

Couldn't say, as the epic lootbin was designed well before I ever came to Amia. It may show up there later, or there may be some other kind of change to the way boots are done. Depends upon how the power scale goes.

Hi,

Question about casting spells in combat. I noticed that my AoE spells hurt allies. Is this always the case? If I cast Wail of the Banshee, will I possibly kill the party?

Nope. My NWN video settings are as low as they can go, and everything else is off. I haven't done anything to NWN since the last time I played, and I have no problem with more advanced games.

Pretty sure it's only damage-dealing spells that can hurt the caster and summons, but never ally PCs. Beware of Evocation!

Any spell that doesn't directly deal damage (Like Wail of the Banshee or even Weird) will not hurt your summons, any spell that does deal damage (Fireball, Hellball, Delayed Fireball etc) but your summons and yourself get a roll a save as would an enemy.

This is the price of Hellball, even a hasted Mage would need to get the fuck out of there when they fling one down, or appropriately buff themselves against it.

O_o

I fixed it!

Apparently NWN was being loaded with the NVIDIA graphics whatever, instead of the integrated graphics whatever. I really don't remember changing this setting.

I did update my video drivers a few weeks ago. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Is it possible, lore/canon wise, to become a genasi after you're born (character creation)? I mean like, binding yourself to an elemental, or having weird experiments done on you, or something. I'm just curious for RP.

Genasi are traditionally born with a faint hint of the bloodline of their specific element, but I would say with a well done request or at least some talking with DM folks beforehand, such a character is not wholly impossible. VERY Improbable, but not impossible.

Though, in the case of someone that's a Genasi not born of an elemental bloodline, I would suggest they be VERY invested in that element.

No. This is the closest you would get to it, you can't become a genasi but you can become an elemental. http://dndtools.eu/classes/elemental-savant/

Ah that is true, sorry I had forgotten bout the Elemental Savant Class.

Still.. i could imagine a very specific way to doing it at least from a story stand point..

I forgot that the Fear spell also can effect the caster, and apparently there are other spells. Generally speaking it's damage-dealing spells, but there are others. You can always experiment, but I know I never had to worry about killing any player characters in my party.

Weapons Finesse Feat, if you have higher Dex than str and use a light weapon do you need to take this feat or is it a waste. The Automatic on the description throws me off. lol

If you wish to use your Dexterity instead of Strength for the purpose of calculating AB, you need Weapon Finesse. So yes, if your Dexterity is higher, you'll want to take Weapon Finesse.

I do have a related question - is it just me or do the touch attacks on this server use strength instead of dex regardless of whether you have Weapon Finesse or not? I'm not sure how the touch attack / touch acs are calculated here.

That's how it works in NWN I believe. Weapon Finesse and Zen archery aren't applied sadly.

Sure with enough UMD anyone can use scrolls. Clerics can even scribe them if they take the feat.
