However, the question the paladin must solve is not so much "do I do the lawful good thing or do I follow my god's command?" but rather "how do I reconcile these two conflicting duties?".
Paladins are by no means categorically required to hunt down any and all evil, regardless of their mission. But they are categorically required to oppose evil on some level, whether it be diplomatic, martial or some other kind of opposition. What about say.. a wizard summons a devil, bound and forced to do good things, yet the palidon (of whom does not have any dogma against devil/demon) slaughters it instantly?

That's up to each paladin to decide, I suppose. Weigh the consequences and loyalties involved. A paladin of Mystra actively working against the semi-evil pursuits of his fellow priests and wizards in the church would probably get in trouble for that, whereas some other might not.

Yar, and it helps to play that card if you, personally, want to avoid PvP without having to give an out to the other person. My Helm pally has simply left a hunting group before because one of the people summoned something undead. Most would give them 'unsummon it or die' speech, but since Helm's dogma doesn't explicitly say that you have to do such things and hunt down all undead and undead summoners I went less confrontational route. That doesn't mean he doesn't rejoice in putting undead back to rest, he just isn't going to go out of his way to smite people.

(this is why we could really use a build test server) You can USE expertise/improved while in shapes for combat purposes, what that note is saying is that you cannot turn on IE and drop wyrm breath (or whatever other ability a form grants). When you activate an ability it drops IE. The elemental abilities would turn off IE. Source: Half experience. Tested in the module with IE working in druid animal shapes (and shifter shapes too), no access to elemental forms specifically.

Yeah, just one power.
Question about Donations IG - do all of them, particularly the church donation plates, record the donations given? The amounts/items at the very least, if not the donor. I know that they're all essentially trash cans but the fund chests do record what's dropped in, because you can check them. But do the donation plates do the same, even though they can't be checked?

I FUBAR'd on my character creation, so I need to do it over, but still want to create a character with the same name, and I know servers get all confused when you have two identical bic names in your vault. Moved it to my archive and 'renamed' it but will that prevent possible glitches?

I have an item in my inventory called 'Maskras Seeds', I have absolutely no idea when I got them or what they are for, I also can't sell them because they're tagged as 'stolen'. Can anyone direct me towards getting rid of them?

Also; is there a reason Pinky doesn't buy stolen goods despite being a totally legitimate* businessman.

It's a handy way of stopping Ammo Bags being an instant money fountain. Recovered epic traps being on sale for lowbies may not be an ideal plan either.

Damage reduction (barbarian)
Is this supposed to always take a point of damage off, from all sources?
Running a barb right now, and it doesn't seem to always fire. Curious if that is intended, or a bug. The NWN wiki wasn't a help.

Are skill points from shifted forms added on top of current skill points or is it a case of the highest skill takes priority?

You mean like the +20 Discipline from Iron Golem? That's added to your discipline. So if you have 33 Discipline you get +20 plus your STR mod in the shifted form.

I'm having a kind of strange toolset related issue. Ever since I reinstall'd my windows, I cannot use commands such as ctrl+c and ctrl+v to copy and paste creatures (I was using it all the time). Do you have an idea what might be causing this, and how to solve it?

Hm. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe they do. However it's a moot point because unfortunately skill bonuses on items do not currently stack with skill bonuses from shapes. As in if you wear a +5 Discipline helm and shift into Iron Golem you only get the +20 Discipline from Iron Golem. So skill bonuses on gear only counts in shapes that do not give a bonus to that/those skills.
That's how it is from default NWN as we haven't changed it. I'd love to see that be altered, but I doubt it will be.

You can go into any module and test it yourself, you simply need to know the right codes.
Hit your tithe key (` or ~) and enter DebugMode 1
With the following codes you are able to then edit your character.
dm_giveXP XXXX dm_givegold XXXX SetSTR XX SetDEX XX SetCON XX SetINT XX SetWIS XX SetCHA XX
Alternatively, there are some build modules available on the ign vault, I think.

If someone casts Haven and then you drink a Potion of Reality, does it work the same as when someone is under Greater Sanctuary? The spells are similar, so I'm just curious as to if they are both broken by the potions.

A few questions, So I plan to work on a summon request but because scripting is still on hold have to work around what can be done, but the kicker.... I'm a shifter so I cant use items in form so no scrolls or anything, I believe the only option is a brewed potion....and even still not 100% if it works (have to test later) So I'm thinking of a negative energy plane based elemental now a brewed potion has all the Summon creature spells on it but can you make it summon elementals with the rest menu or does it just summon animals? (assuming any of the elementals would pass as being from a negative energy plane/ boarding on it) As for undead the highest one is Create greater undead (18) and I don't know if that's worth a damn and EMD (like that would be balanced unlimited use skill ) but assuming Create greater undead is passable use wise.... can potion spawned summons be reskined?

Both are legit responses. Tolerating or working with fundamentally aberrant or evil creatures, however, is grounds for a fall and loss of all paladin powers, regardless of faith.

Is there in NWN any cure for the Silence status effect? If cast on oneself, can it be dispelled via the Rest menu Debuff option?

Oh, that's good news. It makes it a viable anti-mage effect for future requests. (The spell itself is a bit too low-level to really be viable, though.) Even if it's a will save, it's not a mind-affecting spell effect so it might actually do something.
Anyone know if it can be debuffed via menu; that is, if Silence is a viable spell for a caster to use for sneaking and then dispel when needed? I guess I could log on my cleric and test, though.
Would it be a custom script request to get access to spells from other classes' lists, or can we request that even with the hold on scripting?
You cannot take Weapon of Choice in unarmed strike, and many shapes use creature weapons anyway, I believe (so monk fists don't work either).

In PnP, Silence (like most sustained or duration spells) can be dropped as a free action. But in NWN, there is no mechanic for dropping spells save the Rest Menu option, which drops everything. Which may or may not be a problem for you.

Did it bug out somewhere in the revisionising or did the new functionality (speed boost among other things) simply make it harder to effectively land the burst? This bears investigation...

Quick question about the assassin class. The feats that are granted such as ability to c sat cars grace and foxes cunning; at what caster level do those function at? I us it based o in assassin level or is it a set cater level.
Same question for spells that are granted like darkness and invis. Is cater level for spells based on assassin level or the level required to actually acquire the spell?

I believe they scale according to the amount of Assassin levels you have. So 10 levels will give you 10 hours (20 minutes) of cat's grace, etc.

A Sorc 3 with CHA 11 can beome a Pale Master already (in vanilla NWN at least). Cute. Regards Ts

Just a quicky, or a "quiche" .... maybe not.
Is there an idol to Cyric somewhere littered about Amia? Simple yes or no would do, just curious. Seems to be one that I've never run across at all.
