Today two male humans entered the Dale bearing weapons to which Crow told them to disarm. They both proceeded into the inn. One of them sat down at the bar while the other poked around. After he returned and sat down, he commented on his disgust for our village and said quite blatantly that any hin that bothered him would be a dead one.
I was hiding around a corner at the time when I heard this. I came out and told him to leave, to which he blatantly refused and threatened my life. When I made it clear he was going to be dragged out after having his ass handed to him if he refused again, he "grew tired" of our "stinking town" and used that as his recovering excuse to leave.
On the way out, in public, he made a subtle continuation of this threat against me for me to "watch my back", which Crow witnessed.
The other man, Aseph (name spoken by his threatening friend) didn't appear hostile in the same way, though mildly suspicious. He was begging his friend to just cooperate and leave the entire time. I'd note though that he didn't give his friend's name up.
The man who threatened me seems to be a mage accompanied by a raven. Red hair, scruffy face, dull grey shirt exposing his midriff and dress with some brown outlining and metallic yellow edges. The shirt only had one sleeve, the other sleeve missing shows his upper left arm with a red and blue tattoo, dull blue cloak, dark brown wrappings around his wrists. I've ordered his banning for now (unless revoked) for threatening the population of the Dale, disobeying the militia, and threatening the life of the militia.

*At the mayor's request, Kira fills out a report detailing an incident for the militia*
Earlier today, the wereboar Laika showed up wearing a dress and the scalp of something as a disguise. It claimed to be "grandmother" and spent a good amount of time trying to convince several residents and bystanders to feed it (by placing various body parts into its mouth). Souris fed it rolls and ignored its requests to put her whole arm into its mouth to do so. After a while, it got angry and stomped around with a giant broken chair threatening people, and then it left. A short time later, it came back under invisibility and grabbed Souris, dragging her off into the forest. By the time Serena and I caught up with the creature in the depths of some forsaken temple in the western part of the forest, it had already killed her. It started rambling about the natural order of things, and then Serena and I killed it. Serena patched up Souris and we returned to Bendir.

Brief summary of an incident. An elf male came running for his life into the Dale from the east, a bloody mess. He was chased down and slaughtered by a human. The fallen elf was Raised, and the killer spoken to about his actions. Due to the killer's cultural misunderstandings, he was informed of Bendir law, reprimanded, and set free with the understanding he will abide by Bendir law, if he wishes to come back. The fallen elf did not agree with the turn of events, and his opinions were noted. Thank you to Kira, for her well put words of wisdom, and helping to diffuse the situation.

A Drow was spotted by Eredan and Elralla Ferelle of Shevarash outside of the main gate and called out, after the Drow having cast darkness in the area of the carts. A large group of Bendir residents and allies joined me in diffusing the situation by instructing the Drow to leave after he did not have an insignia to show. He left of his own volition only after being informed that the growing mob would be authorized to remove him should he refuse to do it himself.
The Drow was wearing a hood and I was unable to get an accurate description of the suspect. Talash Ashara claims the Drow goes by the name Vel, and that he may be a shifter. These facts cannot be verified but are included for posterity.

Sevalthen attacked again in Bendir, and then dragged someone off, against their will. He will receive one fair warning to leave from now on, then he will be removed. He was aided by Hallothel Kendry. It is interesting to me, how pregnant women seem to want to thrust themselves into the heat of battle, risking their unborn, over the choices one makes for themself.

I would like Earalenia's ban reconsidered. She was aiding the two people that Sevalthen and Hallothel attacked, and abducted, near the carts. Earalenia is a Grove ranger, and under my command as ranger Captain. I will vouch for her.

Let it be known to all council, and militia members, per agreement of Mayor Serena, that the human Talash Ashara, was witnessed praying at the idol of Bane. He shall henceforth be considered amongst that group. He will be informed of this status as soon as possible.

The elven female, Adeline, has admitted to serving Lolth. She has black hair and green eyes, and is a shadowdancer. She is not to be permitted within the gates of Bendir Dale, until further notice.

An odd series of events unfurled today: a large group of tall-folk adventurer types (whom are probably to blame for everything) who were standing outside the walls of the Dale (as they always do!) got attacked by some weird ghost things that came out of nowhere. As soon as we heard the sounds of fighting a few of us headed out to deal with the threat, only to be passed by (and through) some ghostly hin and tallers that ran off to fight ghostly trolls at the Eastern pass!
Regardless, we bravely pressed on! And saw the tall-folk adventurer types (whom I think I've mentioned are probably to blame for it all) fighting (and losing) these ghost things. So we charged in to aid them and fought as best we could. Sadly, the things were bloody tough and hit hard, draining one's energy with each hit. Three of us were felled by the monsters, while the tall-folk adventurer types continued to piss about (pardon my gnomish) and do little. It's at that point I decided it would be wise to retreat to the Gates and hold there. Soon enough the whole thing blew over (like I knew it would!) and all would have been well, but when I sent a man to find the children we had told to take shelter in the school, they weren't there! Obviously the tall-folk adventurer types knew something, so I sent the guard to talk to them. Soon enough, mister Tuomas (the only reasonable person present) and a few tallers came by and pissed around (forgive my elven) the school for half an hour or more before they suddenly decided they knew where the children were and ran off like headless chickens.
After a long (suspiciously long!) time, the tall-folk adventurer types (all covered in blood) came back with three little bodies! The children all had their necks slit and their little bodies didn't have a drop of blood left in them. I'd have questioned the suspicious tallers about it all, but I was in shock. More so when Jayek couldn't raise the little ones. They're gone and lost to us forever, bless their little souls.

As you may have noticed, the plants are dying around the village, and the food stores are rotting. I have taken samples to the Arch-druids for their inspection. Also, there are rumors of the dark mages using blood magic in the Skull Crags again. This may be related to the recent tragedy that befell three of our families. http://www.amiaworld.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=74334&p=1225208#p1225208If you go into the hills east of Bendir Dale, check in with Skit, at her camp. ~~Crow

Outside the gates, a hinfolk lass named Sugarpaw kept yelling about 'fire bad', and shot a taller named Cassandra and a hinfolk named Flint (who was shot at right in front of me). I spent a long time scolding Sugarpaw, after which I told her not to do such things on our lands, especially to kin. She kept going on about 'fire bad', though I didn't really know what was going through her head. Regardless, I eventually quieted her down, though she did hint that she'd attack them again off our lands.
The people involved: Sugarpaw: Hin female, teal skin, blue hair, drips water. Cassandra: Human female, brown hair with two ponytails at the back. Wore full plate and wielded a large mallet, pretty standard taller I think. Flint: Hin male, firey red hair, said he was a druid, and can call fire.

This is the third time I learn of this bitch attacking people. Mentally or emotionally unstable, that gives her no excuse to be attacking guests, especially our own people. "Sugarpaw" is hereby banned from the town and its surrounding area until further notice.
She refuses to comply or respect our jurisdiction?
Wave her privilege to ever return in her face.

I spoke with the girl, "Sugarpaw," and she explained her situation, as well as apologized for her behavior. Complicated as it was, we agreed to fair terms for her punishment.
Sugarpaw's ban will be lifted after two full days*.
As for the victims involved, I will try to speak with them if I can.

The dwarven councillor arrives at the Dale for another longer visit. He offers a greeting to the gate militia and make his way to the Hin Inn. He requests the same room he had overlooking the river and some food to be prepared for supper. Later he visits the town hall to let the clerks know he had arrived to meet with the mayor.

The councilor is kindly greeted and even tended to after a small, silly prank by a pink "spy."
Some business and ill matters are discussed with the dwarven man and others present, as well as other visitors that joined the group. The talk lasts for a good time before each, one by one, departs to their business.
Serena picks up the empty mugs/drinks left behind, frowning to herself in silent thought.

"Some lad wearing black and a rapier got annoyed at what the old Hin who goes by the name of Wisteepockey said about implying he was a man-lover, done shanked him while he sat on the bench and fled from the scene. Tried hunting the bugger down but they fled the scene too fast. The man was brought back to life by a beautiful Drow and he lived happily ever after though.

The human Rolde, threatened a man who calls himself Quicksilver. Rolde accused him of making threats on his life, to which it was denied, and confirmed by a witness to the scene, one Vilraniel. After seeming to accept what was told him, Rolde then proceeded to make threats for no reason, and stormed off to Cordor. My own personal dealings with Rolde, confirm this erratic behavior, and I believe him to be unstable.

This Rolde may be speaking the truth, as this "Quicksilver" is the same man who murdered Wisteepockey under a "duel." I have updated his information on his ban. Please be sure to instruct others of this man's appearance and nature.
Quicksilver has been banned from the town and its surrounding area. He is allowed to travel on the roads but not loiter, socialize, enact business, or "plan adventuring trips." I have instructed him to leave a notice or letter with the front guard if he wished to appeal or compensate for his actions. Nothing more.
It took Crow and I literally twenty minutes to get him to vacate the area...
Crow, I thank you for your patience and assistance.

*Crow takes four buckets and scoops some of the brackish water at the Shrine of Eilistraee. Using his staff, with two buckets on each side, he shoulders the rig and portals to Bendir Dale. Crow carefully walks to a far spot in the apple orchard and marks off a spot, where he empties the over saturated water onto the dead soil. The ranger checks the spot daily for signs of improvement*

An invisible mage in dark robes, bearing a symbol of Waukeen, was on the hill, he avoided me, yet I approached. He admitted to being in red dragon form in the forest, prior to this. During the midst of our discussion on the rules of Bendir and the forest, he casted Time Stop and ran. When I fired warning shots, he overpowered me with his spells and fled.

I report this with much disappointment. One of our own, a female hin, wearing all blue and wielding two swords, is practicing banditry. She is laying traps with fatal consequences, and attempting to rob people. She freely admitted to this, and the murder of a traveler in the forest. In addition, Earalenia and myself were caught up in her traps, so she has assaulted Bendir Militia as well. The hin, who may be Blueberry, as suggested by Rosary, was fully aware of who we were, before she did this. She has no remorse about this, and thinks it is her 'work' to do. Later, when I tried to get her to come peaceably with me to Bendir, she fled using shadows.

Here's a copy of a report I left in Oakmist Vale: Quote: The man who calls himself Quickdraw, assaulted Noelle and myself in the forest, after he was told not to leave his signs. He wears dark red and grey, uses a scimitar and shield, and knows how to hit vital spots. He was accompanied by a mage known as Sakhr, who assisted Quickdraw in his assault on Noelle. There have been many reports of him starting fights in various locations around the island.

* A hin dressed in all red with a red vale covering his face can be seen putting a piece of parchment up if you have true seeing*
To whom it may concern. I Red Rum will be paying allot of money for those who kill and bring me the head of Sakhr "A man of human appearance, dark indigo hood, dark indigo cloak with runes upon it, wizard robes with short sleeves and gold trimming on black panels of fabric, carries a large shield which is dull steel with a golden star pattern attached to it, and a mage's staff with a swirl of magic at the top end. Usually wearing a hood to mask his face. 5'7"-5'11" height, 160-180 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, young maybe just breaching his teens.
And to you Sakhr I pledge that my maidens revenge shall be had. Evil will not be allowed to thrive and bully the hin folk. It is left to me to avenge the hin you murdered without cause. Beware every shadow it could be your last breath.
Sincerly

A notice is left up in the town hall: Quote: From the pen of Councillor Jannah Vindle:
The blight causes food to rot at an astounding pace, but it struck me that a lot of food and drink that's consumed regularly is created by a process of rotting and fermentation. Cheese is milk gone rotten big time style! Wine and beer is rotted grains and grapes that become delicious!
Preserved foods haven't gone off, and pickling is done by a process of fermentation in vinegar or brine. In this sense, it seems as though the process of rotting is what allows a lot of the food we have preserved to stay edible: They're rotted anyway, but in a way that preserves the food or makes it delicious. There's still wine and ale in the dale, and they're both made by fermentation: Rotting. In the case of wine, rotting it more just makes it even more delicious! Some of the most expensive and rarest spirits take decades to ferment properly, we might be able to make it in minutes or days!
Can anyone in town tinker around to see if the blight actually accelerates the production of food and drinks that require fermentation to produce? The blight might continue on indefinitely, but it may also provide us with a means of becoming the foremost producer of fine wine and cheese in these isles!
Blood mages can blight us, but if this works we might come out of this mighty drunk and mighty rich!

An oaken strong box is personally delivered to the town hall by a familiar red bearded dwarf and a much younger beardless kinsman. He request it be put under the care of the mayor, but its intended recipient is to be the artificer known as Ranallas Dal. If opened the box will contain twelve forge bars of pure mithral weighing one hundred and twenty six pounds in total and three impeccably forged mithral rods. Aaegus requests the Dale officials inform Ranallas next time he visits, that his order has been delivered.
//All items were placed in the Bendir Dale donations chest.

It seems two wizards have taken up residence in the forest and taken it over. They sit buffed with a large campsite and many signs. If approached they inform others they cannot be buffed in there presence and if they are kill them. Banned from the forest they still come and go as they please with no resistance from the druids. The ranger captain wasn't even allowed to buff in the forest! Slain for doing so!
Are there any heroes left on the island or will two tyrannical magi take over the forest? I myself have tried to expel them to no avail whats one small hin to do against these tyrants. They demand what they will from others and make there own laws where ever they set there camp. Can nothing be done? Is this the start of the invasion of Amn? Are we just to cower in huts and let them take over the forest and molest it as they like?
They slew a woman this eve for a golem that she had no control of. Because they gave her the ultimatum leave the forest or debuff the golem and when she refused to fallow there made up laws killed her while many folk watched.
On top of all this if questioned they just lie and everybody does nothing.
Are there any goodly folk who can help! Please don't let the tyrants take over the forest please.
The original note was written by another and is advertising in Kampos // The ink is a bright pink and the letter beautifully drawn if a bit fanciful

An anonymous note is left.
"Keep your fearmongering out of Bendir Dale. We have enough on our minds without people trying to stir vigilante groups."

*Kira removes all postings with a sigh and trashes them. If any others are replaced or found, she removes those as well. A simple note is left in place of the original notice*
"Please refrain from this kind of behavior in Bendir Dale. If you have questions or concerns, please direct them to myself or Serena Voi for discussion. Posting these kinds of calls to action without sanction from the mayor or citizens reflects badly on Bendir, reflects badly on the Forest, and gives undue gratification to those responsible for the trouble. We understand your frustrations, but not every problem can be solved with violence and vengeance. Please think clearly before acting in the future."

*Written on some parchment that seems to have had previous writing on.*
"Some girl named Ellisa Miskinya, self-proclaimed Aurilite, was lingering on the roads today. Knowing the Dale's stance on the matter, she said she was told she could linger by Bobrin after she aided holding off the hooded cultists. Just curious if this is the case or not, I find it fishy we have an Aurilite saying this in the middle of winter.
Your friendly neighbourhood sneaker,
-Rico Ondenfare."

A letter written on parchment is hung in the Hinn Inn.
"Hello!
On the eve on the 18th of Hammer, I shall be hosting an alcohol tasting day! Ciders, Ales, Wines and what have you all hand-made by myself!
I arrived from Luiren not too long ago, but I haven't really met or talked to many of you! So why don't we all get together and have a nice drink?
Yours truly:
Kin Peryroylno relation!"

I don't know what Bobrin did or who he made friends with, but he has long since abandoned the town. The woman gets no special treatment, especially as a follower of a dark deity. She follows our rules and jurisdiction.

I was there that day, and she asked permission to aid in the battle against the blood mages, that came from the Skull Crags. Bobrin said he would not stop her from aiding, and many lingered on, after the battle. I have not seen her since that day.

Whilst I was conversing with folk outside the gates, the man known as Frugdar, hopped off the carts and approached my companion dire wolf, you all know Trinaur. The wolf, being a wolf, and not taken to strangers, snapped, as he reached out for the wolf. He took a small step back and Trinaur growled his dislike, at the mans proximity. I turned, and told Frugdar to step away from the wolf, and he blatantly refused, to which I showed him my Militia badge. He then accused me of being a thief, stealing the badge from a hin. As I was about to speak, Frugdar suddenly, without any indication he was about to flip out, screamed out a piercing scream, like one would hear at an all girls school yard. I had to turn away, and in that instant he fatally wounded the wolf, and attacked me from behind, as a coward is wont to do. This took place very near to the gate guard. I awoke from the assistance of Noriel and Zamura, who both witnessed the entire episode, should they wish to be questioned. Thank you to Jayek, again, for his healing.

*This report was posted and left with a Guard of the Dale*
---
South of Bendir there was a manifestation of fire elementals (cited at the time as a plume of smoke from within the Dale) who seemed to persist given presence of flames. At two points, living spirits of powerful flame manifested and took a great deal of focus and effort to put down. I was not able to discern quite what the flame spirits were but they did not quite fit the convention for a standard elemental.
Ultimately the fires were put out but not without a fair deal of effort. Rain began immediately after, and a cursory sweep of the Area gave no indiciation of remnant of magical auras. I still recommend a measure of vigilance after this current rainfall passes for at least twenty four hours.

The tiefling, Shade, accompanied by our own Cynbel, has attacked an Oakmist Vale ranger, Earalenia, outside of the Shrine. Cynbel was led away by Zsanett, who is a known murderer of Oakmist Vale members, and trouble maker, in Bendir Dale.
Also, another hin, Blueberry, is setting traps and attempting robbery, in the spider valley, near the waterfall. She will resort to lethal action, very suddenly.
What is happening in Bendir lately? Why are our citizens acting so, perhaps the soil is giving an evil taint. Take a look around.

I had an unusual conversation with a woman who said her name is Krendella. She wears dark blue, and a white skull helm with horns. She is known for her assaults on Eilistraeens, as well. She seemed to be confused about my history, which is not uncommon, in fact it happens quite frequently, regarding my association with Bendir Dale. It was interesting how she called me weak, for wanting to protect what is dear to me, and then admitted to killing hin folk, and taking pleasure in knowing for herself, that she preys on what she perceives as weak. Keep an eye out and be prepared, as always, there is potential for more crap.

There has been a Kobold in white armor and cloak around the dale lately. I caught him with his hand in my coin purse, knocked him over and told him he'd have to try harder. I didn't get their name, but they left without a fuss telling another traveler that they would steal from them later. Keep an eye out for that one.
