The Dragonsong Adventuring Guild Quests

These five quests are for members of the guild of the experience of a orc- or troll slayer. (//Levels 3-14/)) They are not repeatable. For those who shall take up the challenge, remember to venture forth into the dangerous wilds prepared and bold, so that Tymora may smile upon you and reward you with her blessing of good fortune! Upon completion, seek out Isabella Crowell at the Nomad for your reward.

Quest - The Lair of the Horned Sorcerer

Under the earth of the eastern amian frontier resides a kobold tribe known for their attacks upon traveling merchants and their hostilities towards the farmers of Cordor. In the bowels of the cavern system that they infest stands their foul temple of Kurtulmak. A reward of five thousand gold pieces will be given, in addition to the reward of the farmers, to the young adventurers who dare to venture into their lair and bring back the amulet of their high priest as proof.

Quest - The Shaman of the One-Eyed God

The savage frontier orcs have since years been a significant threat to the merchant caravans that travel close to their territory. While the Commonwealth of Cordor already offers a small sum of gold to bold adventurers that would tread inside their lair and slay their leader, a shaman of Gruumsh, the Dragonsong Adventuring Guild now offers an additional sum of five thousand gold pieces to those who bring his head as proof of their success.

Quest - The Champion of the Scaled Ones

In the rotten and disease ridden waters of the of the lowland swamps rests the ancient mount, a ruin that serves as the stronghold of the trogoyltes. A reward of five thousand gold pieces and a scroll of raise dead will be given to the courageous men and women who shall take it upon themselves to face the fearsome champion of their race, and take his cloak as proof of their victorious battle.

Quest - The Pit of the Cave Troll

The trolls of the lower skull crag mountains have not only been a constant threat to traveling merchants, but also to the peaceful population of Bendir Dale. These foul beings reside in a system of caverns just east of the halfling town. Those who bring back the troll skin cap as proof of slaying their leader will be handsomely rewarded with five thousand gold pieces.

Yet be warned, they are as dangerous as they stink. If any part of a troll's body is cut off, it will grow back after a while and the felled limb has a chance to evolve into an entirely new troll. The only things that can stop this are fire, magically enchanted weapons and acid, all of which trolls fear greatly.

Quest - Under the Bleeding Moon

The Bloodmoon Orcs are the fiercest members of their race upon the amian isle. Not only do their ranks hold well trained warriors, also but capable sorcerers and crossbowmen. Their lair is located west from the northern amian frontier. The brave companions who will face this brutal and capable tribe, and bring back the helmet of their champion will be rewarded with ten thousand pieces of gold.

The Secret of Mystra's Grove

Fellow Companions,

Bold adventurers of the guild are sought for an investigation concerning the destruction of Mystra's Grove. Both an expedition into the depths of the Forest of Despair to investigate the ruins of Mystra's Grove and the search for individuals with in depth knowledge of the event will be required. Fifty thousand gold pieces shall be the reward for those who shall undertake this endeavor.

Clearly several sets of eyes drift over this flyer in Cordor. Most notably would be an oddly dressed fellow who seems to let out a slightly high pitched chuckle as he takes a flyer and moves off, a quiet and contemplative foreign man, and a young woman wearing slightly less clothing that most people and bearing a Sharessin amulet around her neck.

Isabella rubs her temples as she goes into the nomad and realizes someone took the notice she had carefully penned but a few hours ago. After a few minutes of neat scribbling, a new one graces the cordorian tavern. With a little addition on the button: "I do not own a printing press!"

When Jocelyn Kenlyl visited the Hin Inn to read some of the hin folk tales on the shelves and visit the little feline Sabil, she happened upon the notice and hurried home.

That evening, a certain father of hers heard something to the extent of "Please please please please, can we check it out? I want to adventure too!"

A pink haired girl blinks as she reads the notice in the Nomad, the more she reads the more she smiles. Upon reaching the end she giggles and heads off with a mumble, looking rather excited.

"This sounds greeeeat! Wait until I tell him!"

A young, bearded man with red hair and a pair of kamas in his belt looks the notice over in the Nomad, then asks Griff for a description of who put it up.

as adventure also calls to my own heart, I am often abroad myself. If you are unable to find me at the nomad, the list I leave bellow is for all those bold men and women who wish to become Dragonsong Companions themselves. The Dragonsong Adventuring Guild - Under the Northern Lights

Fellow Adventurers,

I am seeking a group of companions to join my expedition into the distant north. With a merchant vessel carrying grain to Howness we shall depart to the island of Forrstakkr in search of adventure and to witness the wonders of the north. Equipment to withstand and camp in the biting cold, to walk ice fronts and to explore the depths of glacial crevasses are required.

The long central table in the Nomad is buckled by the food and drink of the four of the companions, who just returned from their expedition to Brogendenstein. Roasted mushrooms, pheasant in butter, trout with lemon, steaming potatoes and a whole boar, as well as bottle upon bottle of ale and wine hide very inch of the surface of the table. As the companions split, Isabella stands up handing Griff a most generous sum of gold for the food and drink. With a small burp she goes to look over the notice board - penning down a reply for Salema.

you are most welcome to join the Forrstakkr expedition and your map-making skills will surely be of great aid. Let us discuss the details at the meeting.

A suggestion.

The Triumvir allows you to travel to the inn of Forstakkr. It also allows you to avoid seasickness and days of travel using ships. And quite free of charge, I might add. Aspiring adventurers and explorers do not always have their pockets full of gold.

The Dragonsong Adventuring Guild

Fellow Companions,

at the twenty-second hour on the twentieth day of Tarsakh the Dragonsong Adventuring Guild, in coordination with the Heralds, shall hold the second guild meeting during the THE SIXTH GRAND REVEL. We shall feast and merry-make, listen to tales and song, discuss adventures, and have the opportunity to get to know our possible future companions among the Heralds.

A Herald advertising flyer is tacked up beneath the notice.

The halfling gave a soft grunt, wiping the crumbs of some sweetbread from his lips and gulping from his flask of bitter ale. He'd awoken with a hangover, again. Dwarves, admirable in their ale drinking ways, were not the most wise of drinking partners, but keeping up was a matter of pride.
Deciding against killing some filth in the name of Garagos, he had instead decided to reflect on the best tactic to survive drinking with the bearded gits, and the poster tacked to nearby board caught his eye.

"Hmngh, sounds abou' right... Might even be entertainin.." He commented aloud, much to the confusion of a passing serving wench, whom naturally got a pat on the backside for good measure. Shortly afterwards, rubbing his jaw and admiring the way her fist had connected with his face - Biggs reached into his pack and dragged out a slip of parchment writing himself a very flattering curriculum vitæ;

To ye whom be concerned,
I, Yarrick Underfoot, warrior in the name of The Lord of War. Do hereby announce my interest in acceptance into your organisation. My skills lie in the sword, in felling foes and moving onto the next, and the next. For have I slain the High Priest of the Kobalds, infesting the lands to the North. Slain too a foul Champion of Gruumsh, and taken his head for my glory. Lain claim too, to the ceremonial helmet of the Blood Moon Orcs. My helm is lined with a cap of troll skin taken from their adept in the Hills, and finally felled the hideous beetle queen in the Crags.
I gladly offer my sword-arm to the cause of the Dragonsong Guild, and await your reply. Please forward any return missive to Gabilgathol's Brews, North of Cordor.

Then, swaggering up to the list, signed his name, and pushed his CV into place next to it with a mailed thumb, with a tack taken from another notice nearby~

I am seeking the bards of our companionship to create a song that captures the adventuring spirit of ones very first quest. A song that captures the whisper, no the promise that leads one to set out in the world to explore the beauty of the unknown, to battle boldly the most dangerous of beasts and go where no other has dared to tread before.

With a groan, the halfling read her updated roster. "Tempus?!" He, ran his hand down his face, and sighed softly, "Don' they know the difference between The Lord of War, and the Lord of Battles? Clearly there needs t'be some tutorin'...." He took up a quill, and with tongue sticking out to the side, changed Tempus, to Garagos accordingly. Adding in the following skills; 'Flanking, Battlefield First Aid, Weapon-mastery; Bastardsword.'
