Songs of the Desert
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Author: Rahia

"Through the hourglass, under full moon
the deserts of Quoya hold no fools
as cold as ice, the hottest flame
not once, but twice, they'll come again.
the hidden life sings it's praise.
from the tallest soldier, to the smallest knave.
strong of the sword, of the horse and the bow
they'll ride with dark red banners in tow.
When the Tuigan soldiers come again
they'll take what's yours as theirs, my friend."

The following pages are assorted with poetry, many hinting at rekindled violence from the Tuigan, dwellers of the Hordelands. While not completely warlike, the clans of the Tuigan had once united under a single warlord (Yamun Khahan, 1359 - 1360 D.R.) and raided neighboring lands.
