*A letter addressed to Mayor-General Nof Barshedge of Bendir Dale*

To His Honor, The Mayor
Greetings. My name is Brena Shadowsoul, a resident of Bendir Dale. The reason that I have sent you this letter is for one reason; a personal request to be allowed into the Bendir Dale Militia. During my stay in the Dale, I have helped divert attacks upon the Dale when no ranked militia members were present and assist in kicking out troublemakers when asked.

I have brought the idea of becomming part of the Militia up with Captain Lyle Torrowfire but he has refused. He did however tell me to ask you myself. The reason for my denial into the Militia by Lyle is because of several years of my life that was spent on the Nine Hells of Baator -Which of course was not chosen by myself-. In my youth I was adopted by a Warlock and brought to Baator to learn under his tutelage in regards to harnessing the energies of the Hells. However, after his death I returned to the Material Plane and came upon the fine settlement of Bendir Dale.

Let me state that I could offer the Dale much from my experiences on Baator. The few positive things I learned from the Baatezu (Devils) include the arts of war. Should the Dale ever be involved in conflict, I would be able to provide useful strategy and tactics to help keep the town from falling against much larger forces. This knowledge was gained from witnessing the Blood War, which involves the armies of Baatezu being able to withstand advances of the infinite hordes of the abyss. I am also well versed in Lore in regards to darker magics. This would help provide protection towards the Dale from any Mages or Sorcerers who rely on forbidden arcana or the use of creatures such as undead or fiends. That is where my other talent comes in.

I am an expert on Demonology, thus I know the habits of Fiends of the Lower Planes, and more importantly, how to defeat them without sacrificing too many troops should they appear. I hope you will not immediately rule me out for any position in the Dale's defences and I will accept any compromises you are willing to make.

Regarding Brena Shadowsoul

Brena has proven to me time and again that her heart goes to Bendir Dale and all the people that live within. Her past and font of power may be questionable, but it is the here and now on which I base my opinion of her. I may be a lowly scribe and mere private in the malitia but for what it is worth, my recommendation would be to give her a trial under the watch of Sergeant Swift. I am confident she will exceed expectations.

It has been thought to try this to see if it helps the coordination of Bendir militia and even to keep them in shape. We'll give it some time to see if/how it works, so if you could fill these forms out for now, it'd be helpful.

Stay in the front and try to keep the attention off of the others with you.

Attract the Dominagus' attention and keep it focused on physical battling if you go all the way down there.

Make sure that, if you are with another caster, that you only cast a spell once on a person and don't overlap with others in the group.

Notes for Intelligence Operatives:
Be wary of the umber hulks as their tremor sense can always feel you, no matter how good of a hider you are.

The illithids and slaves appear to be greatly affected by acid, if you have any weapons or spells that use acid.

It saddens me to post this, but on one of my trips past the Temple, I came across a note that disturbed me. Guye Valentino, one of the two who helped Swift's son the other day, has threatened violence against the Temple and should not be trusted.

It is up to the Captains or the General to determine what to do about this, but I figured all should know. These are quotes from his note left at the Temple:

"it is with no regret that i no longer wish to be part of this corupt temple."

"i will endevor to return and cleans this temple of its coruption one day."

"if you should try to stop me i will not hesitate to kill anyone who trys to stop me from cleansing the corutpion from here"

All use of the Market Stalls in Bendir Dale are now subject to the following fees and taxes by decree of the treasurer, Madock Digger, upon approval by residents and the council.

Non-residents will pay a fee to open up a store within Dale lands. The amount of the fee depends on what you are selling.
Equipment Shop: 50,000 Crowns
Materials //Job System Items//: 5,000 Crowns

Residents will pay a 10% tax on sales instead of a fee. However, the taxes from one day's income will never exceed the fee to set up a similar shop for outsiders. (For example if a resident sells 600,000 Crowns worth of goods he will still only pay 50,000 Crowns to the treasury)

All taxes and fees will be collected by militia or residents designated as collection agents (It will be part of the treasurer's job to keep tabs on people who have this privilege).

A blonde elf with green robes and a symbol of Winya summoned a planar ally right in the middle of the Dale near the Town Hall, the ground opening and shaking everything just to impress this lass with his floatin ball of light. I ask him why he would summon that in the middle of the Dale disturbing the peace and he then proceed to give me a monolouge as to how he borke no laws and did no wrong that I was disrespecting him an stuff.

Just thought ya should know.

Technically, he didn't. It sounds like he summoned some kind of celestial, which is perfectly okay. The summoning law applies only to creatures of great evil or great size, such as dragons, fiends, undead, beholders and other abominations. Celestials are okay and even welcome guests in our home, though I'd give him a talking to about wasting the good celestial's time trying to get in some woman's pants.

At least, from your description, it was a celestial.

A single sheet blows around in the wind throughout Bendir Dale. It has no destination and no set bearing but keeps in as much motion as the breeze will allow.

If anyone happens to pick it up and read it, it is in halfling script and reads as follows:

Starre looked from her book up to the window where she felt mesmerized by the dancing motes of dust claiming their shining moment as sparkles in the beam created by the circular pane of glass. T'was like a private show of miniature fairies and shooting stars.

"Right. That's it!" Starre murmured aloud as she snapped her book closed and prized herself out of her armchair. "I cannot take this any more."

Donning her gloves and feathered cap Starre could not help but wonder how long this was due. How long it was sin-

The rest of the page is too weathered to decipher.

Making her way toward the Forest, Willow spots the letter flying over head. She eyes it as it floats North East but continues on her way. She never reads it, not taking interesting in a free flying sheet of paper when she has a patrol to do.

A note is left at the Militia board.

Two, what appeared to be Elves, were laying around near the old cave where the wolves live. Given the Cyricist attacks I asked what they were doing back there and they were very defensive and rude. I didn't pressure anything since I'm not militia anymore. I thought I'd let you all know, so you can keep an eye on them and see what you can find. They were a pair; male and female. The female had an ice enchanted rapier and the male had a long sword (I think) enchanted with blood red negative energy.
