Should any enter the lair of the beastmen they would be met with a gruesome sight. While it is not unusual to see the wholesale slaughter of the monsters that plague the area of Tristam's path, it may strike some that this was different.
At first all would appear normal, and it would seem the cave near Minmir bridge was the initial point of entry. Beastmen were slain by some sort of slashing weapon; a knowledgeable fellow might note it is likely a longsword. Electric burns accompany the cuts and disemboweling slashes, the strike marks made with precision. Some others seem to have been killed by blunt force trauma to the heads and abdomens.
But the deeper one goes the more... vile it would get. Here and there would lay a dismembered beastman, the legs and arms strewn about the torsos. Not all limbs were severed, either, and sometimes one would find a beastman with it's arms dislocated from their sockets, left to die a slow death from blood-loss. Every now and then, the signs of spells used.
On the lowest of levels it is the worst. At the point where the makeshift battlement is would be found the corpses of beastmen run through with their own swords, pinned to the sides of the crude walls to be left hanging with blood dripping to poll on the dirty cavern floor. One or two seemed to still be living when impaled, and pinned so that they would die slowly.
Here the signs of spellcraft is even greater, the air seething witch the crackling intensity of electricity and acid. In the open area before the leader's cavern there is signs of imploded beastmen as well.
However upon entering the beast king's lair one might have to fight the urge to vomit. It appears someone took their time to drag the bodies of beastmen guards into the center, piling them to create a makeshift seat while two were used on the back -run through from top to bottom- to make the backing of a chair.
Atop the disgusting 'throne' sits the beastman leader, the top of it's head cut off and flipped upside down as if it were a crown. The king's chest is bare, the hair all singed away, and covering the entirety of the chest and abdomen is a spider. And finally, amidst the dirt and blood on the floor, in front of the king is a beastman torso -sans head- with two sets of arms and legs positioned in the shape of a spider's legs.
