Post subject:  [Salandran Temple, Cellars] Renovations

After securing permission from the Temple Mother Victoria, a lay member of the Church of Ilmater sets to work with two men, one human and one half orc, on clearing the cellar and moving the crates of storage into three newly opened rooms. Nothing is thrown away, merely reorganized and re-purposed, and the bookshelves are put against the walls neatly. The purpose is not kept secret from other members of the Temple, and any who ask are told it will be a children's ward and orphanage to alleviate the overcrowding in the other wards due to the recent influx of patients.

For his part, Dirgesh works happily knowing that this place will be used for the purposes of helping the less fortunate. Even going so far as offering his services as a guard to bolster the temple guards that have been spread thin due to recent attacks as well as offering some place for the children to start anew when they reach appropriate age.

The second day involves more moving of boxes, bags, and crates and an excessive amount of cleaning. Organization occurs today, putting loose items into new crates, sweeping up grains and removing some mouse nests with a wicker broom.

A floor plan is put together, slowly but surely.

Whether it be moving boxes and bags, bookshelves, or even picking up a shift for the guards, Ryrik makes good on his word. He works like a machine, forgoing rest breaks. He stops only to eat, drink, or relieve himself. The giant of a man doesn't complain, and any minor injury from the sort of work being performed is ignored, as something he wears causes the wound to heal almost instantly.

Emily remains energetic despite the woes of early pregnancy, though she takes more breaks to "relieve" herself, or vomit, or have salty-sweet snacks while resting. When not helping clean or organize, as she leaves more heavy work to the men, she starts cataloging what exactly will be needed to create the orphanage and children's ward, or working on research for other projects, before leaving to conduct experiments in the main temple's small laboratory.

Nurse Tee and Emily Sade make a large amount of progress putting finishing touches into cleaning and reorganizing the cellar to make it suitable for a hospital ward and a safe place for children.

Nurse Tee would begin making daily visits to the cellar of the temple, assisting the pregnant Emily Sade in organizing and cleaning out the area to make way for the orphanage. Through her duties she begins to learn more of the deity she has been serving for some time; Ilmater. In her quest for redemption, it seemed more and more that the Broken God spoke to her in many personal ways; specifically, she felt the familiarity in the pain and sacrifice she had made for so many others in her time on the isle. The young aasimar would begin on a quest to better her life and her faith, determined to carry on the legacy of the temple as well as provide a safe and nurturing environment for the lost children of the isle under the guidance of Ilmater and Salandra.
