Post subject:  [IC] Endir's Point

// Since there's no Frozenfar forum //

Recently, a ranger of Oakmist Vale arrives in Endir's Point. He takes a look around the little village, re-familiarizing himself, and adjusting to the cold. He has obviously prepared some for the trek, having purposely neglected to keep his face soft and smooth, the growth of hair on his face, evident of that. Later, the young human man leaves through one of the gates, prepared for exploring. He travels extensively in the area around the village, seeming to look for something. His eyes scan the skies, as well, as he makes his leisurely way through the cold and snow.

Upon return to Endir's Point, he relaxes at Ralten's Retreat to warm his bones by the fire, and go over the notes he's been taking. Were anyone to approach him, the ranger would casually close his notebook and smile. He is cordial enough, though would not offer information on why he was there, or discuss his notes, simply stating he is exploring. Crow spends several days doing this, enlarging the circle of travel each day, before the long trip home to Caraigh.

Upon his return to Endir's Point, Crow exits the same gate, each time he leaves the village, and makes his way somewhere. Sometimes, he does not return at night, but the following afternoon, having spent the night in the wilds. Each time though, he relaxes at the inn for a time, before sleep. He follows this routine irregularly, and does not seem to take the same routes, as he 'explores' the frozen lands.

A tall, fair-haired northwoman most of the citizens would know as Ingrid watches crow in her passings between the mines and the refinery, covered in dust and soot most of the time, she simply offered him a quiet nod if they ever did happen to pass. Without even taking a break from dawn until dusk, the woman worked the mines. Heading home at the end of the day and promptly falling asleep.

Around mid day, a ship moors to the docks. The crew of the ship begin offloading numerous crates and other various items. Several large individuals disembark the ship, and begin loading the crates on carts, and transport them through town to a home on the edge of town. The crates are taken inside, and after a while the men emerged from the home and stack the crates behind the home.

They return to the docks, and load more crates on carts, and once more bring them through town.. this time to a different home, and bring the crates inside. A while later emerging and stacking the crates once more behind the house.

Later in the day, at sundown; a large human man wearing dark armor splashed with green arrives via a portal. He immediately sets to walking through town to the home on the edge of town. He jingles a set of keys and enters, only to emerge a few moments later. He then proceeds to wander through town to another house. The house being one of long standing residents. He politely knocks on the door, and as he is greeted, he enters the home. He spends some time there, and after a few hours, the large man returns to the home on the edge of town.

In the morning, the man returns to the the home of the residents, and once more knocks. This time however, the occupants exit the home carrying bags and small boxes. The large man in green and black takes the family through town, and hands over the set of keys to the older gentleman, gesturing towards the door of the second house. He can be overheard as saying..

"This is your new home. It is sturdy, warm, and yours. D sends his love to you."

With that, he leads the family inside where he spends much of the day. Around sundown, the large man leaves and returns to the home on the edge of town.

A new 'member' has joined Ingrid's family. A cow who is affectionately referred to as Bessie is seen feeding just outside the homestead, Ingrid herself attentively petting and grooming the cow within the first few hours as well as casually speaking with it as if it understood her.

Though even more oddly the cow itself seems attentive enough towards Ingrid, enjoying her company and not shying away like the regular cow might.

Whatever connection the two had, they both seem to almost be kindred spirits.

Elsewhere, a cattle farmer is now rich enough to purchase a good three new prize cattle. The link between the two coincidences is anyone's' guess.

Crow, sporting a good three weeks beard growth, and being trailed by a dire wolf, thick with his winter coat, continue their exploration of the lands outside of the village. The wolf, none too happy about the ship ride, seems to be more at ease, once he's chased something down and had his fill. The ranger pays no mind to the stares he receives, and minds his own business.
