The remains of an elf's head seems to be hanged with its own hair from a tree. It's cheeks and eyes appear removed, jaw missing, and the area where the throat should of been did not look cut off in any brutal way, but judging from the conic shredding on one of the spinal columns that was still attached, one could tell it was not cut at all, but chewed.
There is no mark of identity to this elf or to his killer, but some sticks placed below his feet as something of a signature:

Kaci passes by on her usual patrol of the forest. On seeing the gruesome sight she pads closer twitching her nose. After, oddly enough, sniffing around the area for a few moments, at the sticks especially, she would take the head with her as she pads off towards the Grove. Accompanied by a low growl in her throat.

A blood-stained armored individual comes across this signature. He copies it down before wondering off.

When Jace's attempt of resurrection did not work out, Malandria took the elven head into her care and made her way to Winya to deliver it to Kaithan. Hopefully the elven priestess would be able to resurrect the victim of assault, or if not, at least put it to proper rest in the elven city.
