Dear Xaviera,
sadly, our plans have been delayed due to the plague. With the dying cattle and poultry, we will see you shortly to discuss restoring the fields and bless them though. I know blessing the whole fields for a better harvest was not originally planned. However, as the restored fields will not grow until autumn, seeing we are in the midst of summer already, Cordor will likely need a good harvest to cover some for the loss of cattle and poultry.
The only option for that seeing the harvest is not too far away, would be a bless of the fields. We offer to do this whenever it is convenient for you and with the farmers agreement.
After the harvest we would then speak with the farmers about the best way of future sowing to let the fields regain strength and about irrigation and the like. As this is only effecting the next sowing, it is not quite as pressing as the rest.
I hope to hear from you soon and that our offer is in the farmers and your interest. Malandria

The villagers would find larger amounts of food under the idol of Chauntea, left by the man who tends to the idol often, seeding the flowers and praying in a language no villager or a guard would understand. Beside apples, honey and similar fruit that is often found, there is also some meat as of late. Those who would have some basic understanding of the Chauntean tradition would know that these supplies are meant for the least fortunate villagers to take, as they are considered to be the gifts of the Grain Godess herself..

A letter is returned,
Dear Malandria,
I agree that the plague has thrown our original plans into disarray and, given the current situation, I further agree that your suggestion is a sound one. The restrictions we have had to place on the movement of goods have certainly had some effect on our farmers, though they are bearing up well under the restrictions, and I think that your proposal will go a long way toward making things better for them. I would prefer not to get into the habit of doing this regularly but have no objection to doing so on occasion when necessary.
Sincerely,
~ X. Xee, Minister of Health & Public Welfare, Commonwealth of Cordor
The letter is sealed with a blob of wax into which is pressed the seal of Cordor as well as Xaviera's personal seal
