First, the advertisement circulates in the Amian Recorder, the Clarion of the Commonwealth, and then finds its way into smaller periodicals published for the arcane community.
The Ministry of Law of the Commonwealth of Cordor has immediate and significant need for an arcanist who specializes in Ley Theory and its application in modern magic. A substantial retainer is being offered to an arcanist who meets these requirements and is willing to serve in the interests of the Ministry of Law as an expert to provide legal testimony. If you meet the requirements, please write to CCC Box 001, Commonwealth of Cordor, in care of Secretary Jay Edgar Mover.

Reading this announcement, Tuomas quirks his brow rather curiously and scratches his head.
~.. A trap, a chance to prove our innocence, or the damning of us.~ Tuomas mused to himself.

Given a copy by Storrdverg, Irae'arra passes it to Luca, and gives a knowing glance. She doesn't bother saying the word "trap", but the same thought is right there.
"Your orders?"

Luca reads the note a few times over, a thoughtful frown etching his features. He hands the note back to Irae with a knowing look;
"If you believe you have the knowledge, then see what you can learn of the situation. It is relevant in more ways than may be immediately apparent. Conceal your connections here if possible, and most importantly, keep yourself -safe-, my dear. If you think you're in over your head, abandon the attempt immediately."

Within Kohlingen Keep, the pacing of one magician seemed to keep him from well-deserved rest in the late evening hours. Pensive consideration weighed heavily upon him. However, a certain stirring behind him ceased his thoughtful to-and-fro, the amount of time lost considering a particular matter finally realized. His eyes darted to a letter already written and sealed, set upon the desk of his study. In a single moment of resolve, the letter was snatched up by the former Headmaster...

A missive is sent by courier to Cordor to the appointed box, with a deeply thoughtful look on the face of it's sender, Tuomas.

The following notice surprisingly returns in the newest edition of the Amian Recorder. It would seem the Commonwealth is making yet another attempt to procure an expert.
