The grey skinned gnome is seen reading through books in the Cordor Library about local fauna, specifically sharks that prowl the amian coastline and its surroundings.
After taking part in the Kohlingen rescue effort but failing to save all the men, he personally felt responsible for not having a shape of better talents for the waters. He had taken to watching the sailors throw chum and leftovers and the like overboard and watching the triangular fins dart about on the surface.
He had even used his gargoyle form to silently observe the sharks as nothing more than a statue to them upon the ocean floor. He had learned all he could from studying their habits in person, and sought out the learnings of the library.
Wanting to use what he felt to be the strongest water creature available to him to someday save lives or possible as a fighting form for the ocean seas that he saw were very dangerous and to be respected.
