Should any adventurer seek to cull the herd of orcs that reside sound of Bendir, they would be met with a scene of slaughter. At first it would be just a few bodies outside the cave entrance, left perhaps by another adventuring group. But should one venture onward deeper they would find a more signs of wanton killing. Bodies were left where they fell, nearly every one of them felled by a single cut from a sword. In some cases, an arm or leg or head lay aside a body.

It would appear that no section of the caves was left untouched, though the secret entrance to the kobold areas was not used, apparently, since the kobolds were not given similar treatment.

When one entered the room where the chieftan guarded the key to the lower levels, they would find a corpse at the door and then in the center of the room scorched and exploded remains. A ten-meter radius of scorch marks is evident, all the bodies contained within, and any of the still-identifiable ones would be orcs. Below in the Choosen One's room would lay a similar scene, though it would seem there were traces of powerful divine energies in the air as well, should any be inclined to notice such things. The Choosen One's head was left jammed on a pike, severed cleanly at the neck.

Clearly someone came here with a purpose, and it was apparently carried out. Perhaps a clue would be in the final room with the rope. Next to the escape lay two orc bodies, carefully slain by a sword run through their hearts. They were dropped one over the other, lined up so the torsos more or less were exactly in line with each other. The one underneath with it's arms out to the sides as if their arms were uplifted slightly in praise and the legs pointing down and spread slightly like one would stand. The body on top had it's arms raised higher to mimic the angle of the other's legs, and this body had it's legs positioned similar to the legs of the first orc.

It was anyone's assumption of what the sight, should they bother to regard it, would mean.

Once more, eight nights after the first, destruction is wrought upon the wilds of Amia. This time, it would seem the Kobolds were made target.

It began near the entrance to Darkhold, where kobold and goblin alike were hacked and cleaved. There was a feeling of foreboding in the air, growing stronger as one approached the entrance to the kobold lair. Once inside the air grew thick with the smell of death, moreso than would be usual.

Bodies of kobolds are mercilessly hewn by deep electrically-charged gashes cast into they by a strong sword-arm. As an explorer, or the merely morbidly curious, plunges further, the bodies would be strewn, some cut down from behind as they were clearly running from combat. But their little legs could not carry them fast enough.

Even deeper is the smell of scorched atmosphere, perhaps even causing one's skin and hair to prickle from the charged air. It seemed even in a few places the attacker had led groups of kobolds to their mass deaths in the center of a whirling vortex of lightning strikes and acidic rain.

The High Priest's room was no different. Outside the entrance lay what could only be a mass of imploded kobolds. When venturing in it would be seen that the High Priest and his guardians had been rent asunder by wicked lightning, and the remains pocked with drops of acid.

All in all, it was a gruesome sight to behold. The High Priest was left on his back by the portal and clearly scorched into his chest by fire and electricity was an eight-legged creature.

// FYI - The 'running kobolds' I referenced are legit, due to whatever AI makes enemies sometimes run away from you in combat lol

Kyrtaar comes across this vulgar, albeit common sight, and utters in a single grunt:

"Rrr..."
