Starting today, there can be seen a small green fellow with his face covered in a hood and walking with a heavy tree branch covered in moss who stops passers-by on his travels. Anyone marching from Cordor to Actand would be able to meet him at some point at which time, the little goblin would raise his hand in greeting and say, "Hullo to you, strange person. Maggot is our name, keeper of words long forgotten. Would you care to hear a tale from a before time?" The goblin would provide a cushioned chair and warm fire for his guest and relate a story slowly and calmly.
Those who wish to take part in this please post here as I personally can only make it in game rarely now a days but would like to keep some RP going.

" Hello Maggot, long its been since I last saw you. Let us sit and have some food and drink and you can tell me of things forgotten for, I pride myself on being a finder of lost things." He would offer him some hot chocolate and some ham then ask... " I recently came across someone speaking of a dragon god I have never heard of, Io. Do you know of this one at all?"

"ahhh yes hullo again, known one to Maggot."
*Maggot would trade foods with him, giving some goblish delicacies in exchange for the hot chocolate*
"IO...IO...IO, yes. Yes we have heard of this thing, and here we have a ring with its name. Unfortunately, it seams that this ring tells us little about IO. Strange as all other rings seam never to stop talking them do, no no. But! We are a little more resourceful than that. We has seen an old place long ago what where there used to be someones who worshipsed this IO.
"From what the writings have said, this IO was some sort of very old god figure from the before times when all other gods were young still. The serpent was father and mother to the scaled ones, Tiamat and Bahamut. We has seen that perhaps too, IO birthed the other gods we know.
"However, this little story is not can be entirely true. IO could not have been the progenitor of all the gods we know of today for two good reasons. One, being that too many time has passed and new gods are born all the time. So, if IO made them... then where is IO? We know that if you call out to it, there is no answer. This makes us thinking IO is a dead god and can no longer give power because it no longer has domain or worshipers.
"Reason two that we do not believe the creation story of IO is because we have long studied the accounts of our people, the gob kind, and know us to be far older in these lands than others. Nowhere in our writing has we seen a story of IO before the story of Maglubiyet, or Gruumsh, or Baahgtruu, or any other goblish or orcses gods. Even if our people had subjective views, it would be obvious that IO's story gets mixed in with ours, or has mention in some place, but we find that it does not.
"So, this is what we know of IO. It is a dead god that no one knows much about of cared to learn much about either. If yous are looking for more information for yourself, then I can point you in the direction of where we found the old place, but we see no reason to go there again."
/Maggot would be using his knowledge from the Preacher Job here and its obvious to tell that he is giving a bit of rederic mixed with his tale./

He would exchange the Goblin delicacies, offering some preserved ice cream (berry mix) as a dessert. Then continue...
"I would indeed be interested in the old place that may have more information of IO for, as I have said, I am a finder of lost things and knowledge is indeed the best thing lost that is refound. It never spoils or crumbles to dust, it can simply be lost and found once more.
I wonder if IO is of a relation to AO to overgod who's ring also gives no voice or power and who was so strong he cast the gods down yet he gives no power. Yet I do not think AO is dead Maggot, just that he does not care to focus his attention once more on the lands though, recently, he did once more remind the gods of his power did he not?
Where is this place so that I may seek the rest of the knowledge to be had? Perhaps a statue remains or some tablets with inscriptions?"

*Nodding, Maggot would scoop some of the frozen food onto his tongue.*
"AO. IO. Same thing we think, they sound the same yes. yes yes. We may show you the place sometime soon, once we has the time."

A certain drow with a direwolf would resist the urge to smack the goblin as he sees it choosing to travel by other means between Cordor and the Amian forest from now on.

Many times. *maggot would look about him as if about to tell a secret* In fact, it is a place that requires special skills for one with supple mind secrets such as myself. You see, the floating eyes like to eat us and they have powers that sever us from our magic. It is not a nice place, or wouldent be if it was not for the cozy tunnels. If you are going to try and slay their lord eye, than we would suggest caution, and a blade made from the void. We have one, yes. would you like to see it?"

Crow would most likely see Maggot, on one or another, of his patrols. He would stop, slip his hood back, just far enough for the goblin to see, and sigh.
"Maggot, what are you doing now?" The human would say, as he looks down at the goblin.
Crow would holster the fine bow he carries, for the moment. His eyes, roaming the area, as Maggot speaks.

Thus this time we is talking to the people of news and things. And telling us stories. Maggot has learned some new magic which does be got to do with telling stories he does. Far from our old ways we trying to get, but those stuck upped mages in the tower HIDE from us! So frustrating it is, though we did... kind of assault thems tower and enslave their whole order. But that was long ago and should be forgotten yes? "Tells us, Druid Crow, would yous like to hear a story from Maggot? Yous often is too busy to hear us but perhaps today is your lucky day?"

I am a ranger, which is quite different than a druid, though we both serve to protect nature, and the Balance. Fancy yourself a bard now, eh, Maggot? Well, It is a step in the right direction...I think."

Well, It is a step in the right direction...I think." "No, no, you be druid. We know because you like the trees. Maggot is a Druid too, for we also like the trees yes, they are a second home to us. As for bard, no, Maggot does not sing. Rather, Maggot is a keeper of tales he make from long time watching. "Maggot does wishes for to be more in this step of the right direction, as yous kind be say. There is be things in us past that yous know hintings of that we no longer wish to be a part of. Perhaps us telling what we know to strangers will help that. You could help us, if you knew where to find the one who leads the mage's tower. They know something about us we do not but they refuse to speak to us for what crimes we has done. Perhaps we shall tell you them as a story. *Maggot would snap his fingers, procuring a stool out of thin air just as he leans back to sit. Likewise, a chair with a worn cushioned seat would appear besides Crow.* "There was time ago before we had known each other when Maglubiyet spoke to Maggot during a dreaming. It was told that we must retrace us goblish ancestery in order to unlock secret powers. This we thought meant to teach the young of uses ways. However, Maggot was not birthed into a tribe and so he knew little of what that was. Looked in all the scrolls and carvings in the cave we did and learned of some signs the goblins of old had used. "A circle of gold to attract our kind, yes. By placing the shiny coins carefully, we could call to all the greedy folk. Then, by a slight addition we could scare away enemies by drawing lines through the circle to make a star! This was what angered the mages in the first place, due to misunderstandings. Another sign we had to attract the drowses but that we would not tell as it is part of our past in slavering and should not be learned by anyone again. "The tower mages, and many others, one night had seen uses fires and the gold star circle with many goblinses cheering about it giving praise to Maglubiyet for the power we has received. A banquet of fleshes was to be made in honor, but sneak thieves interrupted us even after we offered to let all join us in reveling in out celebration. When thems did not stop taking our coins, we resort to violent holding spells to stun them, and of course we monstrous goblins had to be stopped, so those mages did try to spell at us! It was their unfortune, for that night there were many bodies piled up for Maglubiyet's offering. The other goblin shamans were all gathered and we were not able to be slain by silly city magic. No, wild untamed magic will always win in a direct fight of powers. "This is why the towery mages do not like our kind, they remember the slaughter we caused due to their not understanding us ways. We only tried to defend us selves and us ways but but them resort to trying to kill poor Maggot. Poor poor maggot only wished to show his gratitude to his creator for the bounty of knowledges he was given. "Now, when Maggot need the teachings of those who know city magics, they will not hear us. Long has been their grudge when it was them who began the feuding. If only we could find their leaders and plea to them for aid, we may for once stop the pain and torment we suffer each day. We are cursed by fate to endure this until our debts are repaid, and we cannot make nice to the mages if they will not listen to us."
