*a note left in a small hand for Malandria of the Grove*
Blessings of the Earthfriend unto you,
Some of the local forest denizens, protectors, and mammals may have seen a reclusive gnome of shy demeanor watching and tending to those of a burrowing nature, in forests, fields, and hills of yon isle. That gnome is writing to you in greeting this day. A burrowfriend by the name of Sally, a resident of the nearby Hin village, has kindly provided your name such that this note may find it's proper place in your hand.
It is only after lengthy careful consideration and observation that my approach is made in the interest of the burrowed flock that I cherish. Though I have searched high and (appropriately) low for such, it appears no shrine to the Earthfriend, Lord of the Burrow is present upon the isle which you call home, though I note (gladly) that many mammals of the burrowing persuasion make home most contentedly within the boundaries of your grove. I seek consultation with those druids highest among you, regarding your acceptance of such a shrine within the untamed westernmost reaches of the Forest.
I have noted with interest a gnomish colony, though feral and xenophobic they be, makes home in such areas. I mean not to displace them despite their ferocity and unfriendliness towards others, for they are amongst the burrowing flock that dutiful servants of the Earthfriend tend.
Aside from your assent in this task, I seek the local knowledge of those Grove servants you may designate as to the best possible site appropriate to the purpose.
If an audience is granted to this humble servant, I have a friendship gift which may be small but meaningful to present, in hopes of continued trade and cooperation amongst our peoples.
Humbly,
Brunnur Taperroott
