The body of Mikal Stonesword is left in the Quagmire swamps near the crystal node. His throat appears to have been slashed by a very sharp blade. In his hand he clutches a portal wand. One might assume he was murdered while trying to escape to safety. A crossbow bolt is stabbed through his torso. Attached to the bolt is a note. "As the saying goes, curiosity has killed the cat. Inquiring about Slavers runs the risk of getting the answers you sought after. This knight was not prepared for those answers. May the rest of you learn from his mistakes." |

*A woman, dress in black clothing portals into the quagmire and trips over the corpse. She scrambles to her feet and looks around quickly, spotting only the corpse, a frown comes over her face. She slowly drags him into sitting against the wall and pulls out the bolt, pocketing both the note and the bolt. She pulls up her hood to cover her face then draws a scroll from her pack and invokes it, raising the fallen knight. She waits just long enough to see his eyes open. As he begins to stir she pulls shadows around herself, disappearing from sight only allowing but a glimpse.* (The character involved would be rania incase there are any questions) |
