The mutilated corpse of a drow elf fetus is found piked in the Forest of Despair. It appears to have been surgically removed from someone before birth. Attached to the pike is a short handwritten note.
"Compliments of your friendly regional Slavers."

The body and note disappears not long after, all that is left, is the pike on which it was mounted.
