[A carefully written poster is applied to the message boards of the city, in neat and polished handwriting.]

To whom it may concern,
I am a young songstress, in need of tutelage in musical arts. Therefore, I beseech you, artists of Cordor, or even those who pass through our fair city of tolerance, yet are not native to it, for your help in my bolstering of knowledge of that magical spark within my music, to embolden it, to strengthen it, and help me bring my love of melody to the best of its potential. Due to certain circumstances (entirely personal ones, I assure you), I am unable to disclose my identity — please leave your contact information here, if you are able. Thank you for your consideration.

[The end of the poster is threaded through with a peacock feather, as a sort of signature.]

Not only is Tolerance stricken through, but the poster and the "peacock signature" becomes a source of incredible ridicule that does not evade the ears of the peacock herself, up to and including a condemning column from Bill Hurst himself.

Citizens, suspend your disbelief for a moment and observe the follow notice from a songstress, reprinted here for your entertainment! A songstress who is still under the mistaken belief that Cordor welcomes its enemies, the murderers of its citizens - those monstrous denizens, those adventurers, those scalliwags and criminals and ne'er'dowells with scales and wings and terrible body odor - with open arms! One of the last decrees of the deposed Duke Montgomery, gods rest his soul, was to officially answer the plight of the people and dispense with the dangerous notion of a City of Tolerance and more properly refer to it as the City of Water, perhaps one of the only truly beneficial edicts of the former corrupt regime.

Troupe of the Sphere Theater, I hereby challenge you to turn over the identity of this Songstress to the public, should you have been so foolish as to make any arrangements with her! Bards and entertainers and musicians who answer her call, I will pay handsomely for the same information! She claims to be non-native, and so, do not expect her to have a Certificate of Citizenship, proving her lack of value and willingness to contribute to our illustrious community! to Her insidious claims that we should welcome the death of our fair city with tolerant smiles can finally be met: with garbage! Like the garbage it is!

And then a very strange thing happens. Two days later, the Sphere Theater in the northern canal of Central Cordor contacts the Ministry of Health and Public Welfare, Xaviera's department, for an emergency garbage cleanup, as huge heaps of trash are piled up throughout the "Art District" as a form of protest against the Peacock's dangerous claim.

After the Ministry has cleaned up, Sympathy for South Cordor moves in afterwards to beautify, and they go out of their way to mitigate the rotten fumes with bundles and bundles of fragrant floral arrangements placed on windowsills, hung by doors, and potted on the side of the cobbled street.

With word of the notice trickling trough the city and into the right ears, even after it was taken down, Elor puts up his own notice in Cordor.

"To the mysterious songstress of the peacock feather,

Please seek me out, as I would gladly meet and teach you.
You can leave me a message in Bendir Dale's Hin Inn or Kohlingen's Mayfield Inn, should you not be able to find me.

Elorathall,
Herald of Triumvir.
Bearer of the Feathered Hat.
Ranked Master Minstrel of the Sphere Theater."

[A simple notice and reply is put up.]
Lieutenant Belalad Feiwallyan,
I shall not refer to you as dear, as I would not presume to imagine such a connection between the two of us, as surely this is simply another day at work for you. However, I would ask, when might I speak with you, as I would not wish to disturb your undoubtedly busy schedule? Thank you for your consideration.

Post Script: As some seem to have noticed, my dubbing of the city of Cordor seems to have drawn quite a bit of attention. Until I see less fey-women with no pants cursing wildly and screaming about their dragon husbands and people with dragon wings that extend at least ten feet, Cordor shall remain the City of Tolerance, if not in name, then in actual, observable circumstances that any can go outside and see every day.

To Elorathall: Thank you, truly, I shall attempt to convene with you after I have met with the Lieutenant.

*Belalad is scene again placing a notice up.*

I should be free within the next few days for a meeting. Often found in amia forest if you would as I assume your identity hidden.

Lt. Belalad Feiwallyan

*Seems to notice the trash either he missed it or realized its under control. Bills notice he would just agree with if asked about that it is no longer a city of tolerance. Though decline any further questions besides the tolerance and special refuse any statements on his beliefs or views.*

A lovely little gypsy girl still watches, silent. She doesn't dare speak up anymore, save to ready herself. There is a time for action, and a time for watching. This is the latter, leading to the former?

[One by one, the posters continue being placed up and replaced after Belalad's returning of the originals.]
To whom it may concern,
I still seek those who would share their artistic knowledge with me. Therefore, I beseech the artists of Cordor, as well as those who are not from the city, for your help in my lyrical education, as well as to bring my love of music to the best of its potential. Due to certain circumstances (entirely personal ones, I assure you), I am unable to disclose my identity, with gracious permission from the Lieutenant Belalad — please leave your contact information here, if you are able. Thank you for your consideration.

Post Script: Elorathall; Thank you for your hospitality — I shall be attempting to contact you within the next few days. As well, I look forward to your Revel — I shall speak to you of perhaps attending.

With all my love, Cordor;
The Peacock
