A tall hooded figure in the greenish hues typically worn by the forces of Wiltun, but with a rather obvious symbol of the Windwalker on his cloak, regards one of the notices in Cordor curiously.

Should be interesting. Last time I went it certainly was. I'll have to try and find Bubbles, she'd get a kick out of it I think. Wonder if they'd let Avadon attend too. Hrm.

With that he wanders off, humming quietly to himself and ignoring the all too frequent odd glances he gets as he drums one hand against his leg, black talons clicking loudly against the metal.

*A private message is sent to Elorathall*

Elorathall,

I am willing to donate a fine prize, should you manage to persuade the Heralds to include a beauty contest amongst the fairest of ladies at the grand revel. Not only will the winner known by all, but will litterarily be bathed in gold dust.

Perhaps we can discuss this further, and soon, before the revel begins.

[The Children's Art Festival was apparently crashed by some form of demon or monster, leaving the bulk of the group crying and fearful. When a few were able to calm the children down (thanks to the presence of the Cordorian Guard and Triadic Knights, one assumes), the revelry slowly dwindled down to a stopping point, though a winner for the Divine Story Competition has yet to be decided. All audience members are asked and told to vote for their favorite afterwards, to Elorathall.]

It was an off day, and he had tiredly sat upon some stoned cushions to witness the 'grand revel'. It was after the children had been taught the important lesson of 'first among equals' among several other of reality's cruelties that a fiend had shown up, scaring everyone and leaving parents disgruntled. Naturally the guards, heroes, and possible paladins had...done nothing.

That...had been amusing.

After this Belalad can be seen returning to his office, apparently he is up to something again. Reassuring any citizen or upset parent that the situation will be dealt with and apologies for the fear given to their children.

Most of the parents decline to comment to the Lieutenant. The father of Mark Hudson, William Hudson, does comment though. He takes the opportunity to bad mouth the old ways of the Duke that still linger, and praise the work of the current, more conservative, Council.

"I can't wait until the day that they ban all these damn monsters from our good city! I can't believe those Heralds let that thing come to a childs event! They should be hung!"

A relatively new Salandran working at the Cordor orphanage who took two orphans to the competition also comments. Mother Mary had brought Martha Burger and the child that left in total fear, "Little Frankie" McPhee. Mother Mary comments:

"Little Frankie is still having trouble sleeping at night. I would be lying to you if I said I'm not upset that a fiend was allowed entry to the competition area, with so many children around. I just hope they've learned a lesson here and pray to the Lady in White that Little Frankie will be able to sleep in peace again soon."

Andrew sends along sincere condolences to the parents involved, offering to help them and their children how he can, as well as assuring them that no fiends will be allowed to attend his classes.

The monster only hears little of the fuzz her brief appearance has caused. To what she heard, she does not really comment much unless she is asked direct questions. However she certainly is slightly confused and also to a degree amused by the reactions, considering the fact that a goblin, full blooded nontheless, is living with the children in the orphanage.

Post subject:  Re: The Third Grand Revel!

A notice is put up on the Cordor noticeboard. A more personally addressed version is also delivered to the parents or caretakers of the children in the art competiton.

"Dear (...),

I hereby apologize for the grief and troubles that the arrival of a certain individual of fiendish heritige caused to yourself and the children in your care. Know that the event will most certainly be taken into account for future Revels and other events, especially where such may concern your children. It is unfortunate that an otherwise wonderful attendance by yourself and the children came to such a negative ending, though I pray that the ending will not come to eclipse the memories of the competition itself in your thoughts.

While organising an event on Cordor's soil we are still beholden to its laws; if it was deemed that the individual in question was to be allowed access to the northern district of the city then it is not the place of the Heralds to circumvent or even altogether ignore the decrees of Cordor's magistrates by admitting or denying certain individuals access to a public event seperately from Cordor's law.

The Grand Revels have been traditionally open to all as to not draw division between race or class, and encourage greater unity, stability and peace on an island that seems riddled with perpetual conflict and violence and I pray that this joyful message was not lost, despite the less than desirable conclusion.

Yours sincerely,

Elorathall
Herald of Triumvir"

Post subject:  Re: The Third Grand Revel!

While all the other parents and guardians of the children seem to have little interest in the topic by now, William Hudson, father of Mark Hudson, seems to become quite angry at the post made by the Heralds. He stood in front of one of the posters and openly spoke his mind to the citizens around.

"We need to go to our good Council and ask them to get rid of all these monsters from our city! We don't want them here! Only Humans, Elves, Gnomes and Halflings belong here! Only actual people! Get rid of all these beasts with wings, green skin, black skin, scales and all those other terrible races!"

"The council has helped us take back our city to a degree, but it's time to take it back fully now! No more monsters! No more Harpers! No more adventurers!"
