ATTENTION SLAVERS!

All those involved with the burgeoning slave trade on the Amian isle are not welcomed within Wharftown.

Any known slavers or affiliates of slavers, particularly those involved with the Cult of the Demon Lord, will be forcibly removed from our settlement.

Any person who attempts to kidnap citizens or travelers in Wharftown will be hunted and disposed of.

You have been warned.

Eventually a note appears, nailed to the sign in Bloodmoon Pass:

Look you crazy b****
No one cares about your shanty town and its worthless peasants.
You can stop being dramatic and using scare tactics for control.
Haven't been there in a long long while.

Cecilia.

On one of her patrols, Alanna reads the sign and grins.

"Message received, apparently!"

She leaves it where it is.

The messages in the Pass would be removed by a man, clad in dark armor. Any other such posters are aslo removed when placed in Blood Moon Pass.

A hin in Red and Gold armor walking up to each of the remaining posts and leaves the War Knight's crest on it, Too the wiser person it would be a sign that they support the Message.

The posters in the pass are tacked up again by an irritable albino in blue complaining of hand cramps.

Yet again, any posters found along the road, aretorn down by the man clad in dark armor. Some ash litters the ground where these notices were posted.

A darkly clad man exposing his forearms would walk by the signs he sees and smile to himself.

"Getting slaves from Wharftown...?! Why didn't I think of that?"

Those in the Blood Moon Pass are also torn down with another Darkly Clad figure with symbols of Bane upon him. He is often seen with the other man in dark armour.

//If you would want to try put these up again, some RP ingame would be fun.

*Theos, seeing the posters takes to replicating them in stone with Stoneshape; right into rock face, odd stones, etc*

//If you want to try taking them down again, some rp ingame would be fun. :-)

Blasted, and scorched rocks can be found along the pass, the messages seemingly erased.

On her regular patrols, Alanna investigates the scorched earth, frowning as she runs two fingers over the blackened rock.

"What a waste of magic. Seems we have new neighbors."

*It seems the message has returned! It's as though someone can simply reshape stone and do so quite a few times on their daily patrols through the area.*

Thank you.

//I am a party involved and I am not alright with the PnP druid spell stoneshape. So please, once again, stop "casting" it.

@Selvec sorry I have tried on pm, but I was dully ignored.

//Enough with the OOC; and please stop sending me PM's. I'm not casting a spell on you in any way shape or form. Take it up IC if you like, my char has been through there a fair bit; the OOC on the board and in my PM box is not helpful.

// Haven't you people figured out that the whole "I take the sign down, no I put it up, no I take it down" makes you look like morons, especially when it goes to the extremes of turning posters into stone and then casting spells to blow up trees and rocks that are holding stone posters? This is pathetic. This kind of game is the biggest crock of epeen preening BS that goes, especially when the matter of whether or not a hastily scribbled sign is up or not has zero tangible benefit and it really just comes down to you, as a player, not wanting to be outmaneuvered. Once the message is posted one time in this forum, it remains there unless it is remove-edited by the person who posted it, no matter how diligent you are about posting, time and time and time and time again, that you remove it (and put it back up!) in any myriad of boneheaded ways (although kudos to Funi, stoneshaping signs was fairly clever.) Do you know what that means?

It means that even if you post that you remove it, I, as a player, can come along at any time and simply claim, if I wanted to, that my character read it before it was taken down. Making this whole ridiculous back and forth utterly irrelevant. If you want word to spread, make it spread in game after just one note here. Do you wonder why I, as the Cordor DM, never really go out of my way to post that the officials there are taking down any number of notices they don't agree with? Because it doesn't matter! They have far more interesting ways of answering cheap propaganda...everything from "utterly ignore it until it goes way" right up to "republish it in the media with greater coverage and a damning slant". And some of these ways are not out of your hands, so long as you do it without NPC control.

Let me reiterate: you have NOTHING to gain in a war of back and forth, up and down. I totally understand why you do it, and it is because your individual egos run rampant, out of control, but for the love of God, would you put your goddamn thinking caps on and actually realize it is all such a huge waste of time, energy, and posting?

This is the last OOC I want to see in this thread. Dead, stop sending Funi PMs about whether or not you consent to his Stoneshape. Whether or not you consent is irrelevant at this point. (And don't PM me complaining, I'll ignore it, too.) Funi, although doing that was clever, I refer you to read the above: it was largely an unnecessary reaction. Just let them be taken down. The word got out once, now it is your job to make sure it gets out by word of mouth IG.

It may sound like I'm being mean and belittling you people, and to a certain extent, I am, because harsh social criticism is usually a good motivating force. If at least one person has their eyes opened to the logic behind this ridiculous trend about signs, then I'm satisfied.

I will single-handedly murder millions of penguins in Antarctica if someone else posts an OOC note in this thread of any nature. I might ban them, too.

Move on.

LETTER SENT TO WHARFTOWN.

Lady Alanna,

When possible if you would wish it I may be able to help with your issue of slavers and cultists. Either we can meet to discuss it or via letters. In the least could share some Intel to help yourself and your forces.

Lt. Belalad Feiwallyan
Cordorian Guard Adventure Branch

A reply makes its way back in the hands of a brown skinned, black eyed commoner woman, from the looks of her, a servant. She delivers a plain letter to the Adventuring Guard barracks and asks that it be delivered to the Lieutenant Feiwallyan. It is sealed with plain red candle wax with a featureless disk.

"Lieutenant,

I would be glad to meet. I'll be at the Hin Inn in a day's time."

The letter, oddly, is left unsigned and is not in Alanna's hand.
