The abyssal wind kicks at a half-open door. The house nearest the wastes seems to have been hastily abandoned. Subtle drops of blood trail in, or perhaps out, before they are lost in the sands.

The house would be vacant to all newcomers, save for the speckles of dry blood as well as a small, dried puddle of it near the post to the bedroom.
