*A candle has been lighted for Renais, underneath it is a torn Dawnguard cloak with a small note on it*

'I hope you have found peace.. You will always be with me in my heart.

Nell Cain'

*The letter looks like its has been written while she was crying, since there is dryed tear spots on the paper*

The candle, cloak and note are left untouched, but nearby a second candle is lit and a ribbon-wrapped bouquet of white flowers left by it's side.

A third candle appears, and a stoic man in fiery red and yellow garb, head covered in a red Shimagh, murmurs near it.

      -"Lo, And Ma'assalama, Brave one.
May the shifting sands grind your memory carefully, may your name erode slowly, and may time uphold your ideals through society.

Thy Haweyya lives in your friends and family.
Thy Ideals will shine like the basking sun.

And may you have a better life in the thereafter.

      Hashim honour you, My Enemy.

The figure lingers for a few hours before leaving at daybreak.

A delicate painting is carefully set up by the candles, picturing renais standing by the ocean as the dawning sun begins to illuminate her face. Several lovely flower arrangements are also placed and a sign.

The sign says:
"With every setting sun the promise of a new dawn."

Anyone around would have noted a woman with red hair, in a fancy black dress setting this up with a few hired local boys.

The entire area around candles is soon filled with different flowers of every kind, neatly arranged with a small note left.

"Thank you for help, your guidance, and your friendship. You gave me the strength to do things I never thought were possible. Have fun up there."

After a long prayer, simple looking human wearing cloak with symbol of Chauntea can be seen leaving the Chapel, solemn look at his face.

Another simple candle is placed next to all the rest by a man in dark silver and red armor.

The armored figure of Tyrus, likely easily recognized by those that knew him despite his recent change in armor style, strode quietly into the chapel. For several minutes he stood a silent vigil, simply staring at the memorial left behind by others.

If any were to try and speak with him he would say nothing. For all intents he appeared the same as usual. Only having met Renais a handful of times he held no true connection to her, yet he recognized the good she did and how her actions had affected his dearest Janna.

For this, he stood his vigil in rememberance of Renais Whiteheart until he departed as quietly as he had arrived.

Mina would spend a large amount of her time at the Chapel, sitting in silence. She would give a sad smile and a nod to anyone who would make eye contact. Mostly she watches the fire flicker on the candles in deep thought. Every few hours she would take a walk and then return shortly.

A delicate seashell necklace is left among the flowers by a blonde elf who stands quietly in the corner for a while, crying softly. Her gaze lingers over the memorial one last time before she leaves, still weeping.

A robed man in drab colors enters the chapel, reciting this eulogy before the altar. He leaves a transcript, scrawled in a fine, delicate script among the other flowers. It reads:

My dearest Renais,

    I would have
Found who did this to you and
    Destroyed
Them once and for all for
    You, had I the chance.

    I sincerely hope that your
Friends and family do not forget your honorable
    Death
    For our love for you
    Is permanent.

    Because I
Gather here in this House of Lathander, I
    Will hunt
For the holy rebirth that will follow and teach them of His ways. May He lay
    You down
    In his holy realm
    And make you
A seat at His hand. Good bye, my beloved friend, my final respects I do
    Pay.

Stopping by the chapel again to leave a flower picked from an oasis in Khem, Salema pauses as she reads the message. Frowning aas she rereads it, she quickly picks out the hidden message and sighs.

Taking it with her she leaves behind a message of her own, this one on Cordor's message board:

I shall pray for you, 'Fredus', so that your heart may feel the warmth of joy again.

Yours sincerely,
-Salema

Salema's message had been vandalized over the night, various bits crossed out, while other letters were scribbled into capitals.

Naivatkal wrote:

YoUrs sincerely,
-Salema

Concluding the message is a flowing signature as well as a crude, scribbled heart.

Seemingly undaunted, Salema openly giggles and places a kiss next to Fredus' name, leaving a lipstick imprint of her lips behind. Perhaps oddly, she leaves the silly scribbled portions alone and writes next to the lipstick lips:

LOVE

*A small wooded box is addressed to the Chapel of Lathander, in Cordor. There is a fine latter attached to it. It's delivered by a common man who claimed he received it from someone in Kampos. He would also inform that it must to be delivered only to someone related to Renais. He waits at the door until someone receives it*

Mengala would receive the box paying the man for his service.

*The letter would say:*
Please, put the following gift along with her remains. I really believe she would appreciate this final gesture of kindness and sweetness.
Love
A.A

*Inside the box lays a half-rotting heart probably from a wild animal along with the symbol of Shar on it. There is also another note half-covered in blood*

Don't let her missing her real deity in the afterlife.

Belalad is still seen stoping in the temple on his normal patrols. Checking to see how everything is, and taking down any lists of complaints.

A few days after the mourning starts to settle, a short essay finds it way posted into the Chapel of Lathander.

I've spent several days musing over whether it would be tasteless to post this or not. However, I feel that this must be said, because of recent events or else it will lose its vigor and strength.

Religious orders and organizations risk falling into a trap that hampered and continues to hamper the Dawnguard and its entourage. The events since Renais' death have served to highlight a major failing of Renais' ability as a priestess and as a religious leader. As I have heard and witnessed, her death has shaken the faith of some. To question why they follow the Morninglord. And here is the problem. The Dawnguard was not wholly a membership attracted by the sweet rapture of the Morninglord but rather the warm guidance of Renais. The downtrodden and outcasted viewed her as the source of light rather than Lathander. I've spoken to a few, even, who have claimed that faith stems from mortal servants.

I encourage all of you to consider if this was your case as well. Did you worship Lathander or the late Renais? I don't wish to harm her memory - I loved Renais like a sister - however this was perhaps her greatest flaw as a religious leader and something many priests and priestesses must take heed of. You are not the rallying point, but its herald. You are not the hero, but its weapon. A cleric must take precaution to ensure that the tenets and dogma of their patron are observed and taught and that they are not seen as the ultimate inspiration of devotion. Though I am only a lowly bard, I think there is wisdom in this lesson.

The falling of the Dawnguard is a fortunate thing. Though it came at a tragic cost, the worship and devotion of the Morninglord can be re-evaluated. The false can find their own way and the truly pious can focus on the venerations of the Dawn. There is good here. As I understand it, such an undertaking is well under way.

*Danwbringer Llinyarrii reads his missive, shaking her head slightly as she enters and goes back to Aylomen's desk, which was before that Renais', picking up the responses from the Temples of Evenstar, Lathander's Light and Morning Spires, she goes back to look at Andrew's note, she then leaves it untouched as with the others*

Amia -needs- Lathander, it does not need adventurers.

Belalad can be seen entering the temple from time to time. Asking about in hopes a change is being made, or any complaints or issues have risen.

Dawnbringer Llinyarrii would tell all who asked, there is no word as yet from the main temples but for a missive letting us know they have it under discussion at this time how we will be proceeding. No complaints or issues that were not easily resolved with a bit of reason and compassion. Aylomen is set to return from his leave of absence soon but will likely not be leading the Church.
