*In the Forest next to the Leyline node lies the body of a half eaten tiefling of demonic origin left for the animals of the forest to finish, his belly violently torn open and his innards seeming to have been picked clean by a creature with large teeth. Stab wounds would be noticed on his left breast where his heart seemed to have been ripped from his chest as well as having his tongue cut out. Crudely carved into the top of his chest just below the neck line reads in infernal*

"Death to all demons"

*karindi, on her way to the mind flayers ports in and steps on the corpse with a sickening squish, completely oblivious at first*

.... Son of a.... what the hell....

*she quickly looks down to see what she stepped in and surprised to see it's a corpse thinks for a moment*

well if nothing else maybe i'll get an interesting story out of this one.

*she removes a scroll from a small case along her belt and uses it to raise the tiefling, not even having noticed the note, and awaits him to become coherent*

*She would receive no response from the mangled body, his soul long since past*

*she looks down at the no response and begins looting the body*

So much for that plan. oh well lets see what this guy has....

A woman observes the scene from the covers of the trees and snorts seeing that Karindi instead of burrying the body or taking it to the temple decides to take all of the belongings of the dead man.
She notes her appearance and snorts again, leaving the place shaking her head.

*actually once she does finish looting the body, she does take the time to bury what's left of it*

*Nothing would be found but the heap of mangled flesh at her feet, whoever did this to the man had stripped him of his belongings. Judging by the marks on his body this was done before something made him into lunch.*

*finding he is stripped of most belongings karindi frowns further and after a quick leyline travel to wittun and back she returns with a shovel and begins burying the body.*

I hope the hunts where you go now go better for you.

* with those few words she takes a bastard sword out of her pack that seems freshly purchased and plunges it into the earth just above where the head was burried*
