*Around many caves of the isle and the on a wall in the ruins of quagemire, a message deeply carved within the stone walls of old caves is put up.
First in Terran, the followed by dwarven under, It reads;*

Brothers of Stone and Might, Warriors small and strong. I can feel you thread the earth beneath our feet. I have sensed your pressence in my journeys and have seen signs of your might.

Hear me now... I call to you in the only way I know how:

Tell me, what is the reason you fight;

For the most rewarding of ales?
For treasures of a blinding glitter?
For honor, glory? WHY...!?

Right under, In large bold letters it is carved:

'SMOOTHSTONE'

A reply in terran is skillfully carved into the stone of a cave.

"I fight for respect, respect among my companions, enemies, and myself. I fight for honor in the hope that my sword will bring some justice to the world. I fight to protect those that I hold dear and those that are unable to protect themselves. I fight for order so that chaos may be put in its place. I fight because it puts food on the table. I fight because I am good at it. I fight because sometimes there is no other way. I fight for many, many reasons.

I pity you. If you ask me why I fight, you must have nothing of your own to fight for. That is a life I wish on no one."

The writer leaves no mark to identify himself.

*there is a bloody hand print pressed deeply against the writing above, as an exausted and wounded 'SMOOTHSTONE' reads over the message*
