A sign and crate are placed near the entrance to the Monolith. Another notice may be seen nearby.

After having finally acquired a sign, a similar idea is actualized, but with far less friendliness and diplomacy, on the Lab floor.

Many of the faculty, including magisters Herrens, Sallino, Eow, and Meram are pushed out of the Monolith after the most recent sign is placed.
Eow grimaces, mean as ever. "Why would you suddenly declare an evacuation we've not had ample time to prepare for and then deny us the handling of our own possessions? I do not trust the Guild or the Guild's friends with my belongings, and I want to manage them myself. Nor do I have time for this ridiculous bureaucracy," he swats at the box where he is expected to place his name and wait for hours before receiving a response.
Herrens is somewhat more diplomatic. "I have enchantments in place in my study halls that need to be removed, because unattended they are dangerous. I only need 24 hours or so. Do I not have that kind of time? I'm sorry to be such an inconvenience, and I am taking this seriously, I'm just trying to think ahead."
Sallino throws up his arms overdramatically with a huff. "Leave it to our adventurers turned guildmasters to force us into an evacuation and make absolutely no promises and afford no compensation to us for our lost research and laboratory equipment. I'm starting to think the Ministry of Magic has the right idea. At least there I have a reasonable chance of having my requests not be ignored!"
Meram remains quiet until she is asked her opinion, at which point she states, "I think it would be best if I remained in my observatory until we are finally ready to evacuate. There is no way for me to move or remove what I have established there, so I might as well make the most of it while I can, not knowing if we'll be coming back."

Given his presence outside, nearby for nearly the entire night.. the utterings they would illicit a response from him.
At Eow's words, he would softly speak to him. "There is concern about safety. This is by the headmaster's edict."
To Herrens, which Mentaki had a more kind response, "I'll make certain your concerns are carried forward. I cannot override the decision of the Headmaster though, my friend. I am sure there is a reason. I will make certain that your enchantments are noted so someone is not harmed. Worry not."
Sallino would be given a rather weighted stare from beneath the cowl of Mentaki's cloak. "Let us get one thing straight here Sallino. It isn't the guild which has forced this hand, and we will likely all have lost research by the time we're done here. I am most -annoyed- that my research is being interrupted. And when I find the reason responsible for this, I will have words with them. And they likely will not be nice words."
"I will speak to the Headmaster on your Behalf Meram."

Zelly stays by the sign most of the time, as the library seems to be mostly packed up by now. She tilts her head at the conversation taking place between the faculty and Mentaki and pipes up.
"You guys can go inside. I'm not gonna keep you out here. If there's packing still left to finish, you can finish. We didn't chase the students out before they were done. That's just silly."
And with that, she makes an amendment to her sign:
Faculty and students may be on the premises until they are finished packing their things. The quicker this is finished, the better!

Sometime later, Mentaki would arrive outside of the tower, reagent pouch opened, standing there, staff at his side, he was scowling. Looking for a particular.. someone. Clearly ready to act.. "Sallino... Has anyone seen Professor...Sallino?"

The sign remains in place outside the Monolith, with the copper-kin Zelly usually nearby it. If Zelly isn't paying attention and people get past her and sneak into the Monolith, they would find that there are no merchants, there is no forge, and there will be magi ready to throw them out angrily. ((Just bumping this. "OOC'ly getting spell components" is not a reason to ignore the sign and the RP that there's no one there. See this thread for an amazing way to handle it IC! The spell components not being there is IC, and can be handled without ignoring ongoing RP. See a DM for details, if you prefer!))

The Monolith can no longer be utilized for these things!
