Large rocks bearing the following words cut into them lay along the trade-route from the kobold hills to Minmir Bridge, miles between each stone. Eloge and Benediction unto the Beast
Heed unto the prophecy of the Flame, 'lo a great calamity has come to pass. The Beast has woken from its terrible slumber and has claimed this Land as His. All creation herein shall feel the terrible oppression of His Will, Child of the First Darkness. Know the shadow of the Beast which blots out the entire Sun; 'lo the only light shall be the flames in His eyes. And when the Beast comes, the very foundations of this land will be shaken, and all will be judged. Know that the Spring of Destruction, and Font of Order shall be rewoven into His will. And with it this land made fertile with the blood and ash of those beneath the rend of Its claws. The Beast has chosen. Discord shall be sown on this land of man and so shall it be renewed in His Design. |

*South of Bendir, up on the hill, a certain Hin copies the message for her notes before proceeding to then combust the metal sign continuously until it becomes nothing more than a melted metallic puddle upon the boulder that it was struck into.* |

Willow eyes the sign with great suspicion, before going on her way. |

Tyl'modaes's response is simple. After seeing the sign, he made a quick trip to Cordor... Then came back with a scroll of Fireball, obliterating the remaining sign. Like the hells He will. |

rocks of varying weight and size are moved to rest along the sides of the road, facing it. They bear a familiar message. There appears to be no rhyme or reason, and they are added at various places, and various times of night along the next tenday. |

*E'dalar spots the inscription on a rock and scoffs* Perhaps it -is- but a madmans threat. Fear mongering housepests.. Use paper next time! *he mutters in sylvan, the last phrase said aloud as if he wanted the writer to hear it* *Walking towards the forest, E'dalar soon forgets the silly inscription. Scattered words in his mind and scattered words on the ground. Every rock with inscriptions would be crushed by a construct, leaving a puzzle of words and letters behind. |

As the next night passes, more rocks find their way tossed to the edge of the road. Though fewer and fewer as days move on. |

Pilineth notes these new rocks with a worried expression, but she leaves them be. Foilinar walks past the rocks and lunges at them with his axe, a large crack appears in one. |

A shadowed figure, tiny-built and delicate, eyes the rocks thoughtfully. A glint of lavender eyes set in a heartshaped ebon face shows a cunning, predatory intelligence... |

A black armored figure walking alone spots one of the stones and crouches, reading it and rumbling thoughtfully to himself. |
